Welcome to Pride of Detroit: Your New Home for Detroit Lions Coverage
Hello, and welcome to Pride of Detroit, your new home for everything Detroit Lions. I'm happy to join the SB Nation family with my new blog.
The name of this blog, "Pride of Detroit," comes from the term used for what a group of Lions travel in: pride. Also, looking to rebound off another rough season, the Lions will actually try to become the "pride" of the city of Detroit.
Here at POD you will find news, game previews, events, and much more. My goal is to provide you with the most information and opinion possible about the Detroit Lions. Hopefully with this new blog, the Lions can finally receive some luck. With a new coach, this will be very telling of what to expect in the future.
As an aspiring sports journalist, this is not only great practice for my desired future occupation, but is also very fun. I have a passion for sports and writing, so why not combine the two?
Whether it is the draft, the offseason, or the regular season, I hope to provide you with the best Lions coverage on the Web. Thanks for reading, and GO LIONS!

Welcome
Just kidding. Welcome to SBNation, Sean. Always glad to see another football blogger. Please understand that I hold a bitter hatred for the city of Detroit, not the Lions. So, if you see me ranting about Detroit, I'm not talking about those boys in powder blue. I was a big Barry Sanders fan growing up, and always rooted for him.
Detroit's got a long way to go, but I like your coach and you've got some good young players. Matt Millen shouldn't run a 7/11, let alone a football team. He must have pictures of the owners naked with a goat or something. How does he keep his job!
Anyway, welcome and I look forward to reading more of your stuff.
