Drummond Done as a Lion
Wide receiver Eddie Drummond has been released by the Lions, according to Tom Kowalski. Drummond, who is known best for his returning skills, never really made it as a receiver. That is what contributed to him being released. With Shaun McDonald on the team now, the Lions can use him as a receiver and returner, making Drummond really obsolete.
I'll have more on this tomorrow with my next roster prediction.

Eddie Drummond gone, Troy Walters has his spot...
And the writing was definitely on the wall. Eddie Drummond was #2 in punt return average a year ago, but the Lions brought in the #3 guy (Troy Walters) to try out as a WR and Walters looks like he can help the team in the 5th WR role. So Drummond was on the way out...
With Calhoon starting to show things in the run game as well it's even less likely for the Lions to keep 6 WRs. Avion Cason and Walters are both listed as returners for kickoffs (Shaun McDonald is the other punt returner), but to keep all 4 RBs they need to lose someone somewhere - and WR is where I believe that will happen.
