Well this is awesome

Not only is there nothing on FOX, but CBS has a DirecTV logo bouncing around and has since yesterday. Freaking great.

Seems like that happens every weekend

And I still haven’t found any streams. At least if the Thanksgiving game is blacked out the entire country will be able to watch it (minus those in the local Detroit area), so there should be a stream of it.

Stevens drops the pass

Wouldn’t have been a first down anyways. 4th down and another punt coming up.

So does Detroit Look good..

or does Tampa BAy look bad? All Ican see is the gamecast.

by TonyDC on Nov 23, 2008 1:33 PM EST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

I'm not sure either (just now started watching the game itself)

Seems like a combination of Calvin is awesome and TB sucks.

So basically...

we need CJ and Hanson to do enough to cover up the pathetic defense and keep us in it or get us way ahead.

by TonyDC on Nov 23, 2008 1:35 PM EST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

On that run, that hole was enormous

So on that one I would say that TB just looked bad..

You read that right, Lions lead 17-0

Wasn’t expecting to type that today.

what in the wide wide world of sports is going on around here?

the pathetic thing, as conditioned as I am as a Lions fan, I’m already wondering how the Lions will manage to lose this game….

by ahtrap on Nov 23, 2008 1:43 PM EST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

So am I!

Isn’t that pathetic?

by TonyDC on Nov 23, 2008 1:44 PM EST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

I think we all are

Just the way it is. Anytime the Lions do anything positive it’s natural for us to think what bad can happen.

but if it is about how he buys homes for single parents I am familiar with it. He is an amazingly generous person, no matter where he played, whether it was Tampa or Atlanta.

Dunn got the handoff in the shotgun

And ran down the middle of the field. He spun past a defender and ran by Lions players to get into the end zone.

by MatthewDC on Nov 23, 2008 2:03 PM EST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

ah, ike hilliard

sitting on my bench against you Sean in the the POD league. Once again, I ignore the rule that if you have anyone playing against the Lions USE THEM, and it burns me…

by ahtrap on Nov 23, 2008 2:04 PM EST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

about that matchup

I was feeling pretty good in the early going until TO’s 75 yards TD….kind of thing that tightens up the ole matchup right quick…

by ahtrap on Nov 23, 2008 2:05 PM EST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

You should be fine

You have Rodgers and Jacobs still to play among others. I have Michael Turner and that’s pretty much it.

I wake up this morning (I from Australia so it’s 6am right now) and Lions lead 14-0 and as soon as I come to watch what’s going on, we start playing like crap.

by Fuzzdog20 on Nov 23, 2008 2:11 PM EST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

what do you guys think...

offensive line, defensive line, secondary, or linebackers, whats the most important issue in the offseason.

by lions_sucker on Nov 23, 2008 2:14 PM EST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

sure...

but if you could pick only one, what one do you think is most to blame. Keep in mind that it’s obviously a combination of all of them.

by lions_sucker on Nov 23, 2008 2:16 PM EST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

That's a tough one

I’d like to say start with a franchise o-lineman. Then we probably need secondary help, and a MLB, and a DE, and a QB, and you get the idea.

D- line

Someone who can actually frighten in the opposing O-line.

by Hyperion Ecta on Nov 23, 2008 2:28 PM EST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

i know the Lions suck but they now have a franchise WR and RB and we haven’t had that combo since moore and sanders

Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog

by Sean Yuille on Nov 23, 2008 2:19 PM EST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

I think...

that the lions need to spend pick 1 on oline, pick 2 on dline, and every other pick on defense in general. Then, pick up 1 starting caliber free agent for the oline and dline, and aquire secondary and linebackers with trades.

by lions_sucker on Nov 23, 2008 2:20 PM EST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

especially if we take a LT...

allows backus to move to guard, where supposedly he’d be stronger

by cridg1zt on Nov 23, 2008 2:21 PM EST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

hmmm….i was expecting a late game heartbreak, wasn’t expecting that the Lions would be losing already

by ahtrap on Nov 23, 2008 2:21 PM EST reply reply actions actions   0 recs

by Sean Yuille on Nov 23, 2008 2:22 PM EST to parent up reply reply actions actions   0 recs

disagree...

I think the lions need to worry about special teams when they have a line that can complete drives and a defense that can force punts.
