Final Look at Draft Coming Later Today
I apologize for the technical difficulties we've been having in the last 36 or so hours. The tech guys have been working round the clock to get the issues fixed, and hopefully (knock on wood) we are good to go from here on out.
With that being said, I'll have some last minute draft stuff up later today, including a look at who the Lions will pick, what to expect/hope for this weekend, and my own mock draft. Until then, thanks for reading and Go Lions!

My top 4 for the 15th spot
Derrick Harvey, DE
Rashard Mendenhall. RB
Jerod Mayo, ILB
Jeff Otah, OT
If harvey is still on the board, I think Marinelli will take him unless Millen does something stupid (which, with him, is a distinct possibility). The Lions have a lot of glaring needs and any of these 4 would help out immensely.

let the new era begin
If only we could hit the reset button on the Lions and go back to pre-Millen times….or something like that.
It’s weird, this year, I have absolutely no interest in the draft, to the point that I’m actually going out ring shopping during the heart of the first round. As ever, I’m resigned to the Lions getting a grade of B- to C+, the way they usually do, addressing a few needs while wasting a high pick on a guy who won’t ever amount to much (Mike Williams, Charles Rodgers, Drew Stanton come to mind, no matter how much I try to block them out….and if that’s being unfair to Stanton, well, let’s see him do anything other than get injured first.)
For my money, the most exciting thing of the draft has already happened, what with Michigan Wolverine Jake Long getting the honor of being chosen the #1 pick overall.

Can't disagree with that
I’m so glad Jake went #1 overall. And Henne might end up in the first-round according to some people, so that would be sweet as well.

henne as a first rounder? Really?
Hadn’t heard that…I did find this, though, earlier today, while searching out an e-mail from my buddy Chad, yahoo’s inbox search pulled up this e-mail I wrote after the Wolverines beat Florida back in the bowl game. I was talking about Mike Hart here:
crazy, the way he didn’t
put the ball on the ground in over a thousand touches,
and then loses 2 in the bowl game. But then again, he
puts up 129 and 2 touchdowns against a highly rated
run defense, and he probably hurt his draft stock with
the two fumbles, while Henne’s stock rose, even though
he also had 2 turnovers, and was the beneficiary of a
few truly outstanding catches from Adrian Arrington.
How does that work, again?
