Cliff Avril
As we all know rookie mini camp started today and there was a Q&A posted on detroitlions.com. Looks like Marinelli drafted some defensive lineman that he likes. I did not like losing Sean Rogers even though he was lazy, but perhaps the coach does know what he is doing. I am interested in seeing how quick Cliff Avril is, the coach says he has got some juice. It would be nice to see a LIon register double digit sacks in a season again.

Speed.
Our main competition is the Vikings. Fast strong running game. What was our draft? Fast strong players.
Starting LBs I’d like to see: SLB-Lewis(faster than lennon), MLB-Dizon(with the green dot, he’s a shoe in), WLB-Simms(of course)
Starting DL- RDE- White, NT-Fluellen, T-Redding, LDE-Francis(I hope Avril competes)
Fast, Strong Defense will win the division…..a division where worst to first can happen as fast as the bears went first to worst.
-CLF
Absolutely
That’s the advantage of playing in one of the NFL’s worst divisions. It only takes a few players to go from last to first.

We all have to remember that the front seven are young and inexperienced. i am not sold on dizon. Watch his videos, he doesnt really tackle, hes the first one there but he relies on his teammates to clean up. In the nfl, guys will truck his ass for a year or two. At the combine he couldnt control his legs. NOW the kid does have a great story coming from the most western highschool in the country, leading an under maned squad (players had to play O and D)and he got his one and only football scholarship, in the summer before his senior year, in colorado where he had layovers when visiting his mother in nyc. Then was injured and didnt play the entire senior season. The buffalos stood by their word, and the kid ended up being the big 12 newcomer of the year. The story goes on and on. To be honest hes the special teamer of the century and i believe that marinilli is sending the team a message. We will pay you to work hard!(second round money). I have two theories on the future of the lions. One envolves marinelli as the next bilicheck but military style. Anyway, Lennon is the starter with a 160 tackles last year.
I really hope to see francis turn into the monster we saw when we drafted him in round 2.
fluellen will not start, hes not ready (didnt play many games in college, and I have no idea who the f is landon cohen is,
we've got darby, moore, and cody in that order.

It would be nice if Francis and Dizon turned into great players. Hawaii certainly would become filled with Lions fans.
