Kitna?
Now, Jon is a great guy, and I would never think anything else, but isn't it time we get a guy that we can keep, and do an adequate job and be our franchise QB? Roy Williams wants to leave, we could have traded Shaun Rogers, and the Fords have spent money in the past, so why can't we get Carson Palmer if he wants to leave Cinncinatti? I'm just so fed up...

Unfortunately it doesn’t seem like the Lions have any plan for the future at QB. Basically it probably looks like this:
1. Ride out Kitna as long as we can
2. Hope Stanton is better than expected
Other than that the Lions are basically screwed.

screwed is right
That was pretty much my thought when the Lions picked up Stanton….granted, it might have had to do a tiny bit with the maize and blue coursing through my veins….
Same
I’ve hated Stanton since he was MSU’s QB and hated him even more when he became a Lion just because I felt it was such a bad pick.

Give the Guy a Break
Another quarterback won’t make a difference. It’s kinda hard to not take a sack or throw a pick when you’re running for your life. We need more offensive linemen more than another quarterback. Look at Garcia. He didn’t look that sharp playing for the Lions. The next season he was leading the Bucs to the playoffs.
Also, having a one dimensional offense doesn’t help either. If Smitty can live up to his potential and help us establish a running game, I think Kitna could be a top tier quarterback. Once again, it all comes down to the offensive line.
The Fords
Dont have to put a quality product on the field they still make millions due to the shared revenues. Just like with the vechiles they produce its bare minimum.
Idiots are still selling out the Ford Field its business to the Fords whats there to gain by spending and winning?
Boycott the games and force them to sell.
Kitna
Has more heart then ANY quarterback Detroit has had in 40 + years too bad he will finish his career as a lydown.
He’ll be in Canton one day,
off the exit with a sign saying “I’ll work for food”
Same old story
get rid of that no talent, no brain, idiot Millen and hire someone who doesn’t have their head up their own butt (or Mr. Ford’s butt) and actually knows about how to put together a great football team. Not happening as long as he’s still there. I really like Marinelli but Millen will still screw things up somehow.

I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it. ~Voltaire
I'd say that picture sums it up. LOL

Hey Tony K
Take off the blinders. What did you ever see from Henne in college that Stanton didn’t do as good if not better when he was in college? Had we wasted a pick on Henne it would have been just as bad as the pick on Stanton. Mind you, I don’t think the Stanton pick was a bad one and I don’t think picking Henne would have been bad (if we didn’t already have Stanton that is). Both are unproven commodities and I just want to know what makes you think Henne will be better. I think they’re pretty level based on college performance but I also think Stanton has more upside. Your comment is a typical ego-centric Wolverine comment. Switch their college teams and see who performs better and I promise you it won’t be Henne. When will you people in Ann Arbor get over yourselves? I thought App. State would have helped you with that last year.
Regardless of who is/was better
The Stanton pick was bad. I suggested at the time they draft a MLB, David Harris (from Michigan). Well, they didn’t and are still looking for a starter at that spot. Guess what Harris is doing? Starting for the Jets. Another great pick by Millen.
Trent Edwards already is starting for the Bills, and he was around in the 3rd freaking round. It’s pretty well known that I dislike Stanton, but the pick itself was horrendous. Stanton was not only picked too early when better players were available, but he wasn’t even the best QB available at the time.

Oh, and how does Stanton have more upside?
Not bashing you for the comment, just wondering.
