Starters will be in 18-22 plays
Should get them a few drives

I also have to root for Chris Perry, being a big Michigan fan. I think he can take the starting job from Rudi.
Same here
He looked good against the Packers Monday.

Online
Are there any links where the game might be shown online?
I'm looking for some
I’ve only found audio so far though.

CALVIN JOHNSON!
Huge leaping catch on the first play of the game.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
Leon Hall had no shot
He’s much shorter than Megatron. C.J. just jumped and took that lob out of the sky.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
I'm beginning to understand why Roy drafted Calvin...
On his fantasy team.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
Roy makes a catch for the 1st
Flag on the play though.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
Big run by Kevin Smith
Great blocking and a couple of nice moves.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
And back to reality
Smith gets stuffed for a loss. Keith Rivers with a big hit.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
Lions take a delay of game
Too far to kick a FG, too short to punt, so they take the penalty.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
Really disappointing finish to that drive
Calvin made a huge catch and the ball was moving, but that interference penalty cost us.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
Great punt by Harris though
Right up on the goal line.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
WTF
Bengals starting at the 20. The punt looked like it was downed at the 1.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
Check that
6 yards… Palmer throws for a 1st down anyways.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
Down in Henderson
Near Green Valley Ranch Station. You, MoTown?
Interception by Kelly!
Another huge defensive play. Kelly took the ball away from Ocho Cinco and Chad Johnson is hurt.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
What a play
He was tackling Johnson and simply ripped the ball away. Kelly was awesome on that drive. Lions start at the Cincinnati 36.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
Chad Johnson looks like he may have dislocated something
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
I know a couple nice bars around there.
We’ll figure something out
Johnson outran the defense across the middle of the field
Kitna made a perfect throw. Megatron is going to break out this year if he can stay healthy. He is just bigger and faster than the people trying to cover him. 7-0 Lions.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
I cannot wait for our offense this year.
I think with Roy and Calvin, that’s going to open things up for Kevin Smith
Same
The balance will be nice if we can run the ball.

Sean, are you watching the game on CBS WWJ out of Detroit? Is it in HD?

Yeah, I'm watching it on WWJ.
Don’t know if it’s in HD, though.

Chad Johnson appears to be done for the game
He’s got a shoulder injury.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
Kelly makes the tackle
But it’s a first down on a pass for the Bengals.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
We are
Pressure forced a quick throw just now. But Bengals got a lucky catch.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
Perry levels a defender
And is close to another 1st down.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
Perry goes nowhere
3rd and 9 or so coming up. Cory Redding made the play there.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
Big pressure there
Dewayne White nearly sacked Palmer, but he was able to throw the ball away.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
Dewayne White knocked it down
Lions always have blocked kicks a lot
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
I checked on a place to watch the game online...
And the person that was streaming it last week isn’t doing it today.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
It's really hit and miss
There was one stream that was showing the Lions but he kept switching between that game and the Tigers.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
I'm out fellas
Got plans for tonight, but I will be checking in later. Good luck and GO LIONS!!!
Palmer gets hit as he threw the ball
Incomplete pass. Like you said LV, good pressure on him today. Alama-Francis made the hit!
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
Palmer gets sacked!
Alex Lewis makes the play. That was an all out blitz it looked like. I like it!
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
Punt almost blocked
Ellis returns the punt nowhere. That’ll end the 1st quarter; 7-0 Lions.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
I'd say
The entire defense is looking great tonight. Remind me not to draft any Bengals this year in fantasy football.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
Orlovsky had a Bengal right in his face on the bootleg
Furrey dropped a pass that would have gone for only a few yards.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
First down
Middleton with the catch in the middle of the field.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
Jeez
Devale Ellis drops a wide open pass. Can’t miss throws that easy. Right through his hands.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
Furrey can't make the catch on the sideline
Pass was high.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
Furrey picks up the 1st
Orlovsky just got the pass off there. He may not be able to run like Stanton, but he’s got good pocket presence.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
Another bad bootleg
Orlovsky can’t catch a break on that play. Had to throw it away again.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
Barely wide left
And that’s why Jason Hanson needs to get healthy. It wasn’t an easy kick by any means, but still gotta make those.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
MoTown, you want in on the overflow fantasy football league?
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
Pass was dropped
And Ramzee Robinson nearly had an interception.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
Apparently there was a false start
Play happened anyways but doesn’t count.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
Nevermind
False start was on fourth down I guess.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
Oh man
Cason just barely got tripped up. He was gone if he could’ve kept his balance. Either way, good to see some form of a solid punt return. We haven’t had that since the Eddie Drummond days.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
Lions are throwing at Leon Hall today
Surprised he’s still in the game
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
Oh no
Busted play there. Bell loses a yard it looks like. Bell gets up slowly.

Orlovsky rolls out to the left

Cool
I’ll put up a post tomorrow afternoon about the league so we can fill it up.

Watson had a hole
Anthony Cannon brought him down, but he still picked up a first down.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
FitzPatrick scrambles for a huge gain
Very little pressure on him and he was able to take off. 2-minute warning.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
They did get a 1st
Watson out of bounds inside the 20
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
Touchdown Bengals
Well, the defense certainly looked pathetic on that drive.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
Standeford picks up the 1st

Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
Same thing
This time to Ellis. Lions take a timeout.

7-7 at the half
I’ll be back with live updates at the start of the 3rd quarter.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
Well, watched the first half downstairs on the Big Screen
Fox41 down here is showing it in HD. Friggin’ great.
My observations from the first half.
Calvin Johnson is a beast.
Starting D looked good and got decent penetration and pressure on Cinci.
Orvlosky will never be a starter.
Smith will start over Bell…hands down.
Can’t wait for opening day!
When I began playing the game, baseball was about as gentlemanly as a kick in the crotch.
~Ty Cobb
Agree with you on all four points
Orlovsky is lucky he didn’t get picked off a few times. Threw it right into coverage. And yes, Smith is light years ahead of Tatum Bell already.

I don't think he will
If Detroit does keep 5 corners I think he would be like the 2nd choice for the spot.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
Calhoun fumbles
Orlovsky recovers. And that basically just sealed Calhoun’s fate. He probably wasn’t going to make the team anyways, but you really can’t do that. Also, Gosder Cherilus blocked his guy right into Calhoun.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
Pass incomplete
4th down coming up. Rayner in for a field goal.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
Wow! Rayner
actually made one!
When I began playing the game, baseball was about as gentlemanly as a kick in the crotch.
~Ty Cobb
Lions must really be hurting for ticket sales
I’ve never seen them advertise them this much.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
Nice kickoff by Rayner for a touchback
He’s definitely got power.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
Maybe he can take kickoff duties and Hanson can hit the field goals. Does any NFL team do that? I know it happens in college a lot. Then again most NFL teams don’t keep two kickers do they?
If the Lions didn't keep a LS on the roster they could
But there’s no way they would keep 4 special teamers on the roster, especially with such a need for depth at other positions.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
Bengals are playing a no huddle
With 8 minutes left in the 3rd.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
Nice catch made
Receiver was open but the pass was a tad overthrown. Either way, 1st down Bengals on the Lions 38.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
Nope... refs give the Bengals the timeout instead of a penalty
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
Dorsey stuffed for no gain
Big 3rd down coming up
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
Hey, a huddle
That’s refreshing to see. The no huddle caused problems for Detroit.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
That's a confidence booster for these guys
3:06 to go, still 10-7 Lions. Greg Blue is a big hitter, and he showed that right there.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
John Owens gets the ball knocked loose
Thought it was a catch but he didn’t have possession long enough.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
Calhoun looked good there
Picks up a good gain to give the Lions breathing room
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
Orlovsky had a man in his face for a 3rd time on the bootleg and just threw it into the ground
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
Lions catch a break as FitzSimmons was in the general area of the throw
If it was intentional grounding it would have been a safety.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
I don’t know why the second string offense can’t run the bootleg, but that’s three times now they’ve had issues.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
Big return by the Bengals
Buster Davis got jacked up on that.

he was a packer a couple years ago, but then lost his job after Mason Crosby came on board….last I heard he was in…KC, I think….
Yup
He’s played for quite a few teams.

and, more importantly…..are all the Lions games going to be available on line? Just looked at 97.1’s website based on MTL saying so way up top…..and honestly I’m surprised to see the radio feed available…
I guess they will be
Apparently the NFL isn’t as uptight as MLB.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
that is frickin’ sweet news….but who is this guy who isn’t Mark Champion? Brandstetter I remember well…the other guy sounds familiar, but….
Orlovsky avoids the blitz and hits Standeford for a huge gain
Standeford really has looked impressive. Too bad the Lions have an abundance of receivers.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
I just looked at the Lions coaches page
It was LB coach Phil Snow that was chewing Dizon out earlier.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
Lol
We’ll probably hear his name throughout the season as he should make the team.

Pinner with a great run
Up to the 10. I honestly think he has been better than Tatum Bell.

by MoTown Lions on Aug 17, 2008 10:03 PM EDT up reply actions
Yeah
It seems like the Lions will load up on defensive linemen, so they should both make the 53-man roster.

Awesome play by Stanton
He was about to be sacked and avoided the tackle, then ran to the outside and dove forward for a first down. He may not have the best arm but he sure can run.
Check out Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog
Touchdown Lions!
The jinx is in full effect. Stanton threw a perfect pass to Brandon Middleton for the 53-yard TD pass. Middleton was wide open and Stanton hit him right between the numbers.

SWEEEETT!!!!
Stanton to Middleton!

Rudolph Hardie with the sack
He got blocked at the start of the play but got up and got the sack.

There's a chance they only keep 4
If they keep a 5th it’ll likely be Devale Ellis since he can sort of return the ball.
