I also have to root for Chris Perry, being a big Michigan fan. I think he can take the starting job from Rudi.

Lions take a delay of game

Too far to kick a FG, too short to punt, so they take the penalty.

I guess they will be

Apparently the NFL isn’t as uptight as MLB.

Standeford really has looked impressive. Too bad the Lions have an abundance of receivers.

It was LB coach Phil Snow that was chewing Dizon out earlier.

by MoTown Lions on Aug 17, 2008 10:03 PM EDT up reply actions

Yeah

It seems like the Lions will load up on defensive linemen, so they should both make the 53-man roster.

Awesome play by Stanton

He was about to be sacked and avoided the tackle, then ran to the outside and dove forward for a first down. He may not have the best arm but he sure can run.

Touchdown Lions!

The jinx is in full effect. Stanton threw a perfect pass to Brandon Middleton for the 53-yard TD pass. Middleton was wide open and Stanton hit him right between the numbers.

What receivers do you think will make the team besides the obvious 4?

by MoTown Lions on Aug 17, 2008 10:09 PM EDT reply actions

There's a chance they only keep 4

If they keep a 5th it’ll likely be Devale Ellis since he can sort of return the ball.

I’d like to see him get some playing time against the second string defense in the next game because he has played better than Bell so far this preseason.
