Before joining the Lions in '03, my man tight end Casey FitzSimmons was part of a dynasty that even today's USC Trojans could not match. Fitzie played for the Carroll College Fighting Saints, an NAIA powerhouse in Helena, Montana, and the Fighting Saints won 5 out of the last 6 NAIA championships. Fitzsie played for the '02 champs, I think. The December 24th, 2007 Sports Illustrated  cover featured one of the players from Fitzsie's alma mater celebrating their NAIA Championship, and that was the cover of SI's 'Pictures of the Year' issue. So remember, Lions fans: Casey FitzSimmons helped start an NAIA dynasty that remains dominant today.  Go FitzSimmons, Go Lions, Go Fighting Saints!
