Tom Kowalski reports that although Rudi Johnson is taking a physical today and is going to work out later on, the Lions aren't necessarily close to signing him.  According to Kowalski, Johnson would be signed to replace Tatum Bell as Marcus Thomas apparently is here to stay.  If the Lions like what they see then a contract very well may be offered, but for now Detroit is just getting a look at the former Bengal.
