As it turns out, the Broncos were on the verge of trading Domonique Foxworth as he has been sent to a new team.  It was not the Lions, though.  Foxworth was instead traded to the Atlanta Falcons in exchange for a conditional seventh-round pick that can turn into a sixth-rounder if he re-signs with his new team next season.

I'm not exactly sure if the Lions were in trade talks with Denver or not, but considering they have a history of trading with each other I would bet Detroit received a phone call or two.  In the end if Denver only wanted a low draft pick it does make me wonder if Shaun Cody was involved.  Maybe he was and the Lions didn't want to part ways with him.

Regardless of the rumor, Cody is still a Lion and Foxworth isn't.  I'm just glad this rumor was put to bed quickly.
