Lol this is pathetic

Fox’s key to the game for Detroit is to not start out losing 21-0.

Short recap

Smith for a few yards and then picks up a couple. Kitna tried to throw to McDonald on 3rd down but the pass was in traffic and dropped. Punt to SF…

Gore picks up maybe 1 or 2 on 1st down and then a few more on second down. On 3rd and 5 O’Sullivan scrambled away from defenders and ran for a 1st down.

I agree.

Kitna is not a franchise QB and I don’t know if Stanton will ever be either but it’s time to find out. If the friggin’ O-Line would do their job, he may actually play well (definitely better than Kitna).

After I hit a home run I had a habit of running the bases with my head down. I figured the pitcher already felt bad enough without me showing him up rounding the bases. ~Mickey Mantle

Stanton

At least he can scramble without his arthritis flaming up. Kitna looks like he needs a walker when he scrambles

The Lions even disappoint when it comes to fantasy...

I needed Gore to get that and not let Nedney get the 3 points

Hopefully San Fran Sucks the rest of the year

that when they only win a couple games, it will make Detroits strength of Schedule that much lower. I mean the Lions have lost to two pretty bad teams this year already. SF and ATL are pretty awful.

Timeout SF

Looks like they want to talk about it.

They are talking about our drafting.

We are the only team i think that ever drafted 4 WR in 5 years (was it 5 years?)… haha, we are awesome.

Try this...it's fun

Google “2009 NFL Draft Prospects” We might have achance at TIM TEBOW! Or mabe Ray Mauluga the ILB from USC! He’d be great to build around!
But I’m sure MAtt Millen “likes what sees” in Chase Daniel and Obi Ezeh.

This is BS

How do all these good QBs keep getting hurt and our craptastic kitna can have his helmet fall off, his leg backwards sideways, and all kinds of other crap and still get up like hes superman

The chick is FBI

And she gets sucked into this secret division that investigates weird stuff. The old guy is a scientist who worked for the government researching weird stuff (telepathy, reanimation, etcetc). And the the younger dude is the scientists son who is street smart too.

Not sure who said it

but i like it too. Its hard to describe though. Its an FBI lady and a crazy old scientist and his son who investigate weird science mystery type cases. They do weird stuff tho. Like different than anything else you’ve seen. X Files like stuff but not aliens

by MatthewDC on Sep 21, 2008 6:46 PM EDT up reply actions

Cross between

x-files and, hmmm…Numb3rs is about as close as I’d guess. Hot FBI chick, mad scientist who worked for the government doing weird (and mostly illegal) shit and who’s been in a loony bin for the last 17 years and his kid who’s got a 190 iq and mostly runs scams. Good show, I thought.

Not to sound pessimistic

but the season is over in my mind.

Fire Marinelli, millen, and let kitna stay on as backup to someone new. Maybe Stanton if he looks good.

But then what?

With a good line, Rudi would probably be a great starter.

Middleton is a good returner.

by LVLionfan on Sep 21, 2008 6:54 PM EDT reply actions

Kevin Smith

I’m not saying that smith isn’t going to be good maybe down the road. But he shouldn’t be the starter right now I don’t think. It doesn’t hurt to get the experience if we are planning on losing the rest the season. But if we want to win Rudi is a much better option. He just needed to learn the playbook.

I didn’t even watch today’s game… and by all accounts I saved myself a lot of stress.

by nuftjedi on Sep 21, 2008 7:19 PM EDT reply actions

Yep.

I also decided not to watch today’s game. I got an angry phone call from my dad during halftime about their pathetic play and knew I had made the right decision.

I was more productive than normal on a Sunday AND I didn’t want to punch anything after the Lions game.

It will be very interesting to see if the team can sell out the home game on October 5th. Time for a TV blackout perhaps?

by Christy on Sep 21, 2008 9:43 PM EDT up reply actions

Unless a company buys them

I see no way how they will sell out. If they had 3,000+ left for a home opener against Green Bay, I don’t see how they could get rid of all of them for an 0-3 team against Chicago.
