Around SBN: 2012 NBA All-Star Game Starters Announced

Paris Lenon and Ernie Sims

Paris Lenon was 12th in the league with 121 tackles and Ernie Sims was 20th with 113 tackles...With a signing of a solid free agent LB or drafting someone like Aaron Curry we could have a very talented Linebacking Core to base our defense around. Also with the hiring of a defensive minded coach ( Rex Ryan, Steve Spagnuolo, etc,) we could finally break the streak of have the worst defense in the NFL for the past two years.

More tackles doesn't mean better

what good are 121 tackles if they all come after 8 yards?

Agree. Need to look to free agency

or take Aaron Curry or Ray Maualuga in the draft. Sims can’t do it on his own and Lenon is not a starter.

I has a blog.

Paris Lenon...no

He shouldn’t be a starter for anyteam. He was casted off from the Packers. We need two LB’s

I agree

Lenon is no good. We need a Linebacker for our second pick. Ernie Simms is the best one we have and he needs some real help.

backup...

I think Paris would make a great back up, but starter, no way. He blows coverage too often and the only reason he had so many tackles is because teams ran plays in the opposite direction of ernie sims. Although, it’s tough to say if we need a Mlb more or a olb more. Theres tons of talent through FA this year in the mlb spot, but not so much on the outside. Perhaps pick up Bart Scott or Johnathan Vilma and have Paris back one of them up (if we re-sign him) and then draft Brian Cushing with our 2nd round pick and use our 1b pick on B.J. Raji. Then in the 3rd round draft secondary and either oline or dline, depending on the best available. Doing this would give us a awesome lb corps, a upgraded dline, and a stronger secondary.

I agree with Lenon as depth

He’s too valuable as a back-up and special teams player to just cut. He is definitely not a quality starter, but he does have some value.
