Draft trade
I think the Lions have to look into trading out of the 1st overall pick. We must sign Jordan Gross,OT. If we sign him, then we can go after a stud defensive player. If we can get down to around 3-5, i think Aaron Curry would be the best fit. But TAYLOR MAYS, is the one person in this draft who I think is a sure fire player in the NFL. We have to take him. Ed Reed, Troy Polamalu, Brian Dawkins and the rest of the stud safeties in the league show that Safety is one of the most important positions on the field. This kid, Mays, will be just like Polamalu. He is a freak of nature, big body, fast as can be, and can hit like a truck. I think the Lions need to trade up between 10-13 to make sure we do not miss a chance at this kid. It wouldnt take too much either, we could give up #20 and a 3rd rounder or maybe Corey Redding / Leigh Bodden.

Fish9...
Check out the comment in my fanpost here. We’ve discussed this at length and why it’s going to be nearly impossible to trade down. Good in theory… but not very plausible.
Also… Taylor Mays is staying in school for his senior year.

I agree
Aaron Curry is said to be the most nfl ready player in the draft and with him and Ernie Sims we could have a very solid linebacking core. Malcolm Jenkins also is a good fit for us, we need a playmaker on defense and Malcolm definatly showed his playmaking ability at OSU.
