Wow, we must have a hell of a roster

A cutted Fullback starts for the Steelers, a cutted linebacker started for the Colts…

Man we certainly couldn’t have needed some quality players…

I hope Schwartz is the pick.

They need to make a decision quickly. They’ve had 3 weeks since they canned Ram Rod and I’m sure they knew weeks before his dismissal that he wasn’t sticking around. They should have made a decision and have a partial staff in place. They should be out scouting talent that would fit the new coaches scheme. Time’s a wastin’. Not a good start to the ‘new’ GM’s reign.

I agree as well

Time to make a decision since it appears all of the candidates have already been interviewed. Time to get a coaching staff put together. Bowles for DC or something if Schwartz is the pick?

I'd love to have Bowles as d-coord...

…with Schwartz as head coach. There might be some head-butting there, though. Have to wait and see. I hope they make a decision before this weekend. They need to get rolling NOW.

Yup

Gregg Williams is going to NO. Apparently there was some talk about him coming to Detroit with Schwartz.

From the outside looking in...

Heya, I’m actually a Seahawks fan, but I hate to see any team suffer the way you guys have suffered. I got thinking about your team moving forward and am shocked the the Lions have not even seemed to considered Marty Schottenheimer for the coaching vacancy.

I think he’d be a perfect fit for the Lions. The big knocks on him are that he struggles in the playoffs and is uncompromising in the way he likes to do things. The Fords have illustrated the ability to keep their nose out of the football business, in the past to their detriment, but Schottenheimer is a consistent winner that has never failed to reach respectability, something the Lions could sorely use. As for post-season struggles… how many years would it take you, as a Lions fan, to be sick of losing in the playoffs?

Agreed

Marty ball would have been fun to watch. I don’t any Lions fans would dislike losing in the playoffs since that means we’re not only winning games but quite a few of them.

I just read that Jim Scwartz just got hired as your new coach.

If so, congrats. As a long-time Titans fan, I can tell you that he seems like a pretty great coach. Certainly the Titans’ D has been the rock of the team for a long, long time.

Good luck next year!
