Lions' List of Head Coach Candidates

UPDATE: Click here for an updated version of this list.

In order to keep track of all the coaches the Lions have shown interest in, I have compiled a list of candidates and whether or not they have interviewed or will interview with Detroit.  I have only listed coaches who have been linked to the Lions in reports by credible sources (i.e. Adam Schefter, local papers, team officials, the coaches themselves, etc.) and will continue to update this as new developments are reported.  On that note, if you happen to find something about a coach possibly being linked to the Lions job and he isn't on the list below, leave a comment with a link to the report.

Coach Team Current Job

Todd Bowles Dolphins Assistant/Secondary Coach Yes (January 7)
Leslie Frazier Vikings Defensive Coordinator Yes (TBD)
Jason Garrett Cowboys Offensive Coordinator No (Withdrew name)

Brian Billick

Just read this on Adam Schefter’s Around the League segment on NFL.com. It mentioned but didn’t detail that the Lions have expressed interest in Brian Billick. The article was mainly about Billick and the NY Jets but it did mention that the Lions have contacted him.

Yeah I saw that

I’m not sure if I’ll add him, though. Kowalski keeps saying it’s not true. We’ll see I guess.
