Does the Linehan Hiring mean that the #1 pick wont be a QB ?
I personally think that the Scott Linehan move is not a bad one, While i still think that our offense really isnt that bad, i dont think Linehan will make it worse. One thing that i find interesting though is the fact that he an Daunte worked together and with one year left on his contract, it really looks like Culpepper will be the starter to begin the season, whether its a good move or not depends on how Daunte works during the offseason and in training camp but my question is this, Does the Linehan hiring, and his relationship with Culpepper mean that the Lions will look at another position other than QB for the top pick and go for a QB in the late rounds ?

I think he makes us more likely to draft an OL and not because of Daunte
Schwartz wants to be a team that runs the ball and stops the ball, and Linehan is someone that has run the ball a lot at Miami and in St. Louis.

I wonder if this doesn’t make the Lions more likely to pick up a guy like Nate Davis from Ball State. You might be able to scoop him in the third round. He seems like he might fit the mold of a Ben Roethlisberger or Joe Flacco type, where you can rely a little more heavily on the run earlier on in his career and allow him to build his confidence a little before you find out what he can do. Like you said Sean, Linehan has attempted to emphasize the run in his recent stops. Picking up Davis would allow the Lions to pick up some cap room by allowing them to drop one (maybe both) of their higher-priced QBs to make some move in free agency.
