Wednesday Notes: Lions Schedule Interviews with Frazier, Bowles

  • Vikings defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier is going to interview with the Lions on Friday or Saturday.
  • Dolphins assistant/secondary coach Todd Bowles is going to interview with the Lions today, and Falcons offensive coordinator Mike Mularkey is also expected to get an interview this week.
  • Former Titans general manager Floyd Reese hasn't spoken with the Lions, not that that is the least bit surprising.  The Lions are looking for a personnel person to work with Tom Lewand and Martin Mayhew, but I highly doubt it will be a big name like Reese.
  • Rod Marinelli now has an offer to be the Bears' defensive line coach.  Marinelli was recently in Seattle to talk about the Seahawks' defensive coordinator job, so Chicago may not be his only option.
  • Matt Millen wouldn't trade any of the time he spent in Detroit as Lions general manager.

I would trade all the time Millen spent in Detroit

for the chance to throw him in the fire myself. learning curve. looks like the guy who (still) has the learning curve is William Clay Ford, Sr.
