Garrett interviewed for Lions’ coaching job
Per Adam Schefter, Dallas Cowboys O Coord Jason Garrett has already interviewed with the Detroit Lions.
Well, he did. Garrett and the Lions met Monday in Detroit’s latest quest to land a head coach to replace Rod Marinelli and snap the team’s losing streak.
I'm not to high on having Garrett as a coach. I'm hoping it was lip service and nothing will come out of this interview.

I hadn’t heard this yet. I’m not too high on Garrett anymore either. That Cowboy offense really tanked hard this year. I think he needs a few more years as coordinator to prove he can adapt better to defenses and prove he’s a leader with the respect of his players. Doesn’t seem like the Cowboy’s offensive players think very highly of him right now.
Very interesting since he was supposedly no longer a candidate

Actually I was impressed
I thought that Garrett did a great job, considering the ridiculous distractions of The Romo & TO Show. I think Romo isn’t anywhere near the quarterback some proclaimed him to be, and TO thinks he’s much better than he is at this point in his career. Having a new #2 WR dropped in your lap in the middle of a season is no easy task for a young OC—especially one with the personality we know Roy has. I don’t think Garrett will be the hire; I really think they want a defensive coach. But, I am thrilled that they really are getting ALL of the best candidates to interview.
I’m really getting sick of the naysayers like Brian VanOchten. What is the point of saying: “Well, the Lions suck, so they won’t get to hire a good coach. They’ll have to hire a sucky coach because they suck. But if they hire a sucky coach, then they’ll always suck! Stupid Lions, always sucking”? How is that either true or worthwhile? It isn’t, and it isn’t.
