God i hate the Packers !!

I hate the Packers so much.
i hate their ungodly green and yellow (yeah yellow, not gold) uniforms, i hate their obnoxious fans ( just look above ) i hate Brett Favre, i hate Sterling Sharpe scoring that FUCKING touchdown at the Silverdome in the playoffs years ago, i hate Lambeau field. I hate what Charles Martin did to Jim Mcmahon ( i like the Bears too so i hate these guys twice as much as a average fan) This is the only team in all of sports that makes me physically ill. There are so many things i dislike about this team that i cannot merely put them into words, oh yeah i also hate those bright orange jumpsuits they wear when its cold.
God, if you like us here at POD please show us by giving us a victory this Sunday. Not only would it show that the Lions are taking the right steps, but it would send those Packer fans into such a frenzy that their heads would implode and the shit would begin to leak from their ears.
Amen

I HATE ALL OTHER NFL TEAMS,
I think the hard times recently, mixed with a jealousy of seeing other team’s fans celebrate. Has led me to Hate Every Team evenly. Don’t get me wrong, I still watch other games, and enjoy and appreciate great play.
But I yearn for the day we can bask in the Glory Of Success!
after thinking more I guess I don’t hate the Rams, they’re like little brother.

Yep. Packers suck.
I hate that we have not beaten them in forever. I hate that we have not won on their home turf in longer than forever. I really hate Farve. He can put any other teams jersey on if he wants, he is still a packer in my mind.
Sure hope god hears your prayer and we get the win this sunday.

And I have some hate for Chargers, too. Whenever I get to watch`em and camera zooms on P.Rivers` grinning face…I simply leave the room for a while. I`m just not sure we can afford new TV.

the Pats. I’ll throw in the Red Sox, and Celtics too. And i realllllly hate their fans. God what douchebag bandwagoners.
After that I hate the Cowboys and Redskins.
Then I seriously dislike the other teams in the NFCN, just as a group, no one more than the other, although if somehow Farvre’s career was ended I wouldn’t complain.
Then it’s a sliding scale of dislike for the rest of the league.
EXCEPT I will root for the Steelers, Ravens, and Arizona (they’re rise from the dregs gives me hope I guess), when they’re not playing us.

They went 0-16, you should expect laughing and ridicule.

That being said, I think they are on the right track with Millen gone. They have a beast in Calvin Johnson and hopefully Stafford pans out. Btw I don’t think the Lions are an easy win like they were last year, I think it’ll be a good game.

Well....
The Packers let one of the best QBs who ever put on a uniform and stepped on the field leave….no matter that he is a definite Hall of Famer, no matter that he made the Packer franchise what it is today, and no matter that he did more for Green Bay, WI than most people can do in a lifetime. Then he came back in a purple uniform and LIT YOUR ASSES UP!! LMAO!!
If you ask me, that right there deserves just as much laughter and ridicule as the Lions going 0-16…..at least the fans saw it coming.

This comment alone proves the Lions futility as a team.
You can’t even use anything your team did to the Packers. Is it because you haven’t won at Lambeau since the aforementioned QB was a rookie? I wasn’t trying to start an argument with you guys. I just brought up the fact that you should expect criticism and jokes when you go 0-16. But hey, I would probably be overly touchy too if my team lost 19 in a row.

I can handle it fine
Notice how I didn’t get angry by your pictures of Favre in a Viking jersey. In fact, I found it funny that you couldn’t even post anything your team did to the Packers. Maybe next time post a picture from 91.
Anyways, didn’t come here to start an argument with a bunch of oversensitive Lion fans. Thought maybe after years of futility, you had learned to take a joke about your team, and if you had noticed after the picture I actually talked about I thought the Lions were improving and will make it a good game Sunday.
Anyways, sorry if I angered you, wasn’t trying too. Here’s to a good game Sunday.
by Charlie Kelly on Oct 15, 2009 10:27 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
I didn't see anything wrong with your original statement.
It’s the truth. We were the most pathetic team in history of course people are gonna make fun of us. On the other hand we are not an easy win for any team anymore. The only thing that has stopped us this year is ourselves. We just need to learn to get out of our own way and we could be 3-1 right now (we were never in control in that Saints game).
That being said we are sick of people saying shit beacause it’s like beating a dead horse. How would you feel if your team was as bad as the Lions for the past ten years and all you heard everywhere you go is people constantly talking shit about your team. It’s not oversensitivety it’s just people fed up with hearing everybody say shit about the Lions. It’s old and played out. I mean seriously it’s almost as if people have to talk shit about the Lions just to make themselves feel better.
But with the way the last 10 years have been we have proven we have one of the most loyal fan bases of any team in any sport and nobody can take that from us. Do you think you would be able to put up eith the shit we have for a decade and still be a die-hard fan and have as much passion as you do now? It’s not easy and I don’t think most fan bases could make it through all that intact like the majority of the Lions fans have.
The few things we can brag about though is at least we aren’t the Raiders, Browns, Rams, or Buccaneers. Especially the Raiders. They are unbearable to watch. It’s like watching a pop-warner team in the first practice of their lives. The Lions of last year would kill all 4 of those teams this year without a doubt.
GOOOOOOOOOOOOOO LIOOOOOOOOOOOONNNNNNNNSSSSSSSS!

Hey thanks for the mature response
I even said it in my first post. I don’t think the Lions are pushovers or easy wins this year, and they are far from the worst team like you said. Also, with Millen gone they are finally having what look to be good drafts (My only criticism of the last one was not getting a tackle to help protect Stafford).
As for making fun of them for being mediocre, I know it’s old but that’s just sports, fans talk shit to each other. You don’t think the Brett Favre in purple thing is old to us Packers fans? But I expect it and accept people are going to say it to me especially as a Packers fan who lives in Minneapolis.
Also, I know the Lions have good fans. The fact that I’ve never heard of any difficulty selling out despite poor records and one of the worst economies is very commendable. But anyways, again sorry if I pissed people off, it was supposed to be in good fun. Hoping for a good game Sunday.

Is that a reference to the early pioneer in the development of the modern mountain bike? Seriously man, all I did was the exact same thing to you that you did to all of us. You flaunted our teams past in the faces of all of the die hard Lions fans on this site, and I threw it back in your face. So, if you want to call me oversensitive and immature, say that I have a sandy vagina and no sense of humor, and be a general jackass on OUR site, then you better stop what you are doing, take a long look in the mirror (if you can stand to look at yourself), realize that you are acting in EXACTLY the manner by which you accuse others here who responded to your drivel, and EXPECT us NOT to take it because it is NOT funny in the least. Any idiot with half a brain should know that trolling on another team’s fan site will not bring about a happy go lucky, elbows and laughs, brotherly type of response…..especially when you intrude on our territory and immediately talk shit that you have no business posting here. You can take your jokes back to your Packer site and laugh it up with your cheesehead buddies all you want. They might even appreciate it.
That said, I believe you knew full well that your comment would piss people off. If you didn’t, then you truly are thick. I wonder what kind of response I would get on the Packer blog with just the comments I made to you above about Favre……gee Andy, I think that might make ol Aunt B pretty angry don’t you? You hope for a good game on Sunday? I think your hope will be answered, and then some. I think we are going to win at Lambeau for the first time since 1991, and I will revel in the looks of disappointment on the face of the Packer faithful when the Lions stand victorious. DX MF.

I feel we would be much the same when someone comes in and makes a respectful comment on our board. I can think of a couple non-lion fans that come by and we don’t attack them. It is when people come on and do this crap that I think we can pile on.

So you criticize Charlie Kelly for criticizing the Lions, and you then procede to criticize the Packers? Right after you had gotten done complaining about Kelly did?
Should we go to your site and ridicule the Packers for collapsing last year down the stretch, losing 5 in a row and free-falling out of the division race? What, that was last year? Well, 0-16 was last year, too. It’s a new season. Times change. Try and keep up with the times, or get run over (like your offensive line).
Was any of this really necessary? Yes, we collapsed down the strech. We also happened to lose Barnett, both our starting T’s, and Collins. And that’s not mentioning that we had already lost Harris, Jenkins, and Bigby. Haha and yep our o-line is bad, I don’t think anyone would try and debate that. We have again had T problems this year. I guess we’ll see if your d-line “runs over” our o-line this Sunday.

Wow packallday555
I had thought of you as a decent guy, since you have been coming around here for awhile now and have been respectable. But now you are here defending this guy? A fellow Packer fan? Saying he was attacked and then defended himself? Saying that there was nothing wrong with his comment? I agree…..there was nothing wrong with the original COMMENT. However, the 0-16 picture of packer fans holding a sign at the game last year is as good as a slap in the face, especially coming from a rival team’s fan. The original poster of this thread is a LION’S fan, and so his picture WAS taken as a joke. If any other LION’S fan posted the same pic as this guy did, it would not have bothered me. However, this is like fighting with your brother and having some outsider step in and start taking a side when he has no business sticking his face where it doesn’t belong. You know what typically happens in that situation? The intruder gets his ass kicked.
WE were attacked and I defended US ALL. He came back and ran his mouth some more. He wasn’t defending himself. He was stirring the pot, thinking he was funny. Typical trollshit. THAT is what is wrong with what he did. We all know damn well that our team sucked in recent history, and we sure as hell don’t need fans from all across the league (especially Packer fans) coming here to remind us. You would have to be truly ignorant to not know that it would bring a negative response.

I would still like to think I am a decent guy. Yes, I’ve been coming over here for a while and have enjoyed some of the conversations I’ve had with you and some others. I think it was you that I was talking fantasy football with and I enjoyed it very much.
I guess when I saw Charlie Kelly’s post I really didn’t see anything wrong with it. I thought his comment was fine and truthful, and I took the picture to be kind of a playing around thing. Now I realize and understand it probably isn’t all that funny to you guys. But Charlie Kelly really is a respectful guy, and I think he posted the picture in more of a kidding manner then a “you guys suck, I want to rub it in” manner.
Another thing is like you stated, a lot of Lions fans had posted 0-16 poster pictures earlier in the thread in a joking manner, so that probably made Charlie Kelly feel like it wouldn’t be taken in a negative way from other Lions fans.
Regardless, this is all really silly. We all know that you guys are NO where near the same level you were last year, and many of us Packers fans feel uneasy about our matchup this Sunday. It’s obvious you guys are a team that is coming up, and like I told Bosco over on our blog, I think both of our teams will be the class of the NFC North in the years too come.
by packallday555 on Oct 16, 2009 9:44 PM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
At least you can see where it wouldn't be funny to us....
When you are a Lions fan, you have the right to make fun of them (but still within reason). You have that right because you have been there, seen it all, lived it, and stuck with your team. When you are a fan of another team, and you come into a Lions blog site (full of die hard Lions fans who have stuck with them through thick and thin) and post a picture that basically says “I’m a Packers fan and I think it is hilarious that your team went 0-16 last year. What do you guys expect? Your team sucks, so it should be commonplace for everyone to come out, laugh in your face, and ridicule you for being a fan of a loser like the Lions”. Doesn’t matter if that was said, intended, or not…..it is implied because of the mitigating circumstances.
Typically speaking, a person from another team’s blog comes to this site to 1) Talk mad shit, or 2) Respectfully say “good luck guys, but my team is better”. We expect and generally accept reason #2. However, a vast majority of us here at POD definitely dislike people that come here for reason #1, and it has happened every week so far. At least one troll from every team has come in to talk shit. The way I see it, your friend is no different. I will still be alright with you, as long as you keep it cool.

Condesending little prick… if you need help finding the door, let me know.

when you are still a Slackers fan
long after the only good thing to happen to YOUR team in the last 25 years is gone (on to beat your asses), YOU should expect a lot worse than criticism/witticism…you’ll get it on Sunday.

Hey, if you win then great for you guys.
But I wouldn’t be so arrogant about a 1-4 team coming off a winless season winning in a place where they haven’t for almost two decades.

Are you done...
Masterbating, yet?
You’re really starting to embarass yourself.
by CLF on Oct 16, 2009 9:50 AM EDT up reply actions 0 recs
Am I done masterbating?
Really, that was your attempt at getting me back? I’m not the one pining for other teams success, I’m not the one who probably just blew my load on the back of a Tom Brady jersey.

i hate the giants
they lucked into a superbowl win and if they lost tht game nobody would talk about them at all. just like packers fans wanted 0-16 to happen i wanted 19-0 to happen. wish it was the other way around then the lions would have won a game and the patriots would have won every game

I hate the Patriots, too, especially Tom Bratty

It probably doesn't help to think that while you're hating him
He doesn’t know or care who you are and is plowing a Victorias Secret model who also doesn’t know or care who you are. Jealousy and bitterness are ugly colors on you my friend.

So is being a judge of someone else's
character.
Go find a cliff.

Green with envy....
……and puke yellow with bitterness? Ugly colors indeed.
What? He can’t block a dead gopher? Humph, details.

I hate every single team on that list equally.
I wish nothing but ill will towards every single one of those teams on that list. The teams on that list are the only teams that I hate with a passion. Every time Roy Williams shows he can’t run a route, catch a ball, or fails to look even look semi-coordinated on the football field I get giddy like a little kid on Christmas morning. I get the same way every time Favre hits the turf or the Packers lose too.

I hate...
dairy food hats and the song “Bang on the Drum All Day”.
I hate, the Packers.

I, too, detest the Slackers..
…and the Bores, and the Bi-queens, and every team that has ever beaten my Lions and talked smack on anyone and anything related to Detroit football.
Patience my brother-in-anger, our time is coming. Soon it will be us that the fans of other teams hate (and are jealous of)

Wow, so I've learned something today
All this time I thought the Lions and their fans were the lovable losers of the league. But I guess all the losing and constant mediocrity has turned you into insufferable dicks who can’t take the slightest bit of criticism while you all pine for the success of the teams you hate. I once felt bad for this team and it’s fans, suffering through all those years of losing, seeing your greatest player retire early because he simply couldn’t handle playing for this joke of a franchise.
But now that I’ve seen what many of you are like, I say that I couldn’t find a more deserving group of people to cheer for a terrible franchise like the Lions and live in a shithole like Detroit. You all reap what you sow and hopefully your bitterness and jealousy bring you many, many, many more years of failure to come. With that said, why don’t you all go fuck yourselves. Don’t ever forget who put the final stamp on that 0-16 record for you.

Thanks,
You have proven what we all thought. Packer fans are truly jerks. Instead of thanking us for your 2 easy wins ayear, you come in here and poke fun at us for a continuous poor record. Then get upset when we take it like we see it.
So thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed your stay. However, I hope the boredom of mediocrity that the Packers seem to be stuck in since the 90’s can entertain you enough to never have to comeback.
Good luck this week! I hope that all Packerfans, and most of all players, have the same ignorant attitude towards the 2009 Detroit Lions that you so gleefully have shown us these past 2 days, so we can shove your arrogant condisending words down to the back of your throat (similar to what mom likes) this Sunday.
Have a good one!

Come on now dude, taking a cheap shot at his mom is kinda personnal and below the belt. Yeah, he’s being a troll, but at least he’s keeping it to sports rivalries and not taking personnal potshots at us.

I see Packers fans...
are good at sweeping generalizations.
See what I did there.

All I have to say. On behalf of all Lions fans here. at the POD. And worldwide. Thank you for drafting Tony " The Manwich" Mandarich.

GOD BLESS YOU PACKERS!!!!

For the record...
I’ve always hated the Packers, waaayyyyyy before i posted on the Acme page. I was just being diplomatic. All i needed was one jagoff to make me realize my mistake. I dont hate you as people, i just hate the Packers and youre just associated with them.
Shit, i didnt know it was gonna blow up like this :)

wow I leave for a couple of days...
and now this whole place has the stink of Wisconsin cheese. First off, never turn your back on a Packer
Wisconsin is not known to have the prettiest woman.
Second, their training methods are somewhat questionable

Lastly, dont be to hard on Packer fans…. They are still coming to terms with the lost of their Messiah
