Lions QB Trivia - ANSWER
POD'ers:
Another week and another HUGE game for the Lions. I really hope Staff plays well and we finally beat these guys at Lambeau. That also got me thinking about how good Stafford may become given what he's done so far during the first four games of his NFL career. Showing a lot of promise and getting all of us very excited about a FRANCHISE QB. That got me thinking about past Lions signal callers. Its well documented that our last QB to go to a Pro Bowl was Greg Landry (thanks Jazzy) (although I think Scott Mitchell should have went in 1994 - CONSPIRACY!!).
ANSWER: All of the QB's below started at least one game for the Lions with the exception of Rick Mirer, who was a third stringer for a year on the Lions and never saw any game action.

Mitchell should have went in 1995. He was awesome that year.

Your right – I completely forgot about Gerg Landry. I always connect the last time the Lions won an NFL Championship (1957) and Bobby Layne as our last Pro Bowl QB. Thanks for the heads up

The answer to the question (which I got right).....I won't spoil it
But this guy not only never started a game for the Lions, but he never even appeared in a game for the Lions…..nor was he ever listed on a Lions regular season roster that I know of……however I do remember him being here.
My bad.....he was on the active roster for 1 year in Detroit......
I won’t give away the year either…..but he never appeared in a game or attempted a single pass in a Lion’s uniform.

Now that you have answered the question....
Yes, Rick Mirer was our 3rd string QB in 2004. However, he never saw ANY action in Detroit….:o)
Hey KDawg
No – I know the answer it’s just trivia. I’ll answer it today at 5:00.

Good question
I know it isn’t Frank Reich. I was at the game he started against Atlanta back in ‘98 or ’99. I’m not googling anything, but I don’t know the answer off the top of me head, I’ll make a guess
Good call Jazzy
I know odd Lions trivia for some reason.

no problem in live for the Lions football triva
My Grandparents did not allow me to watch to much TV( but the Lions were always on). So I had a bunch of books on the Lions.
