What kind of roll could Jeff Fisher play?
After he gets fired? ......Just kidding.... well....... he IS the longest tenured coach in the league, but can that save him from not only a 0-5 record, but a 59-0 route?

Would Schwartz/Mayhew hire Fisher as a consultant... assistant coach?
Just a fun hypothetical discussion to get us away from the fact that Culpepper is the worst QB on the face of this earth. the normal discussion/arguments. So sit back, relax and tell us all where ol'jeffy would fit in the Detroit Lions organization.

Yeah, right.
I think Fisher would take the rest of the year off. I have to say, Tennessee would be stupid to fire him. He is a fantastic coach. Teams would line up to hire him… probably in front of Gruden and Shanahan.
Maybe Gruden
But I wouldn’t say Shanahan… It’s all about how the owners/GMs want their coaches running things.. As long as they are OK with a guy who wants to control most of operations, Shanahan would come before Fisher, IMO.
I think Cower is still the best coach availible...
But I don’t think he is intersted anymore.

I don't know about Fisher as a consultant
he pretty much got Floyd Reese fired for the Vince Young debacle. Reese wanted Cutler, Fisher wanted VY. Fisher is one helluva coach, but Reese is a much better talent evaluator
Fisher wanted Leinart...
Jazzy I don’t know where you heard Fisher wanted VY. Fisher and Norm Chow wanted Matt Leinart, for obvious reasons. Bud Adams is the one who had the hardon for VY because he was a Houston native. Fisher also liked Cutler and personally recommended to Shannahan that Denver trade up to get him.
Most people here in Nashville including Frank Wycheck were screaming for the Titans to take Cutler in the draft even if it meant taking him higher rather than trade down. It was a constant drum beat on all the local sportstalk shows for weeks. The same thing happened this year when Cutler said he wanted out of Denver. But hey, WTF do any of us fans know? ;-)
I frankly don’t think Adams gives a damn if the Titans ever go back to a Super Bowl. As long as they can flirt with the playoffs enough to sell tickets and merchandise, he is happy. It’s kind of a toy with him. It keeps him amused and it creates an image for him with his friends. Beyond that he doesn’t put too much into it.

IF Fisher is toast, and I don't think he is....
he’ll sign a contract with Washington within a week. Zorn may not make it to week 16.
The Skins job is such a poison pill man...
No way anyone makes that work until Cerratto gets fired, and Synder gets his hands off the team…

we are miles ahead of them...honestly
I am inside the heartbeat of Washington…and even though they have been better than us…right now, we are MUCH better off…
