The question of the week
Perhaps I am out place doing this but I have been bored today and I got myself involved in KDawg's post before reading what rbanner was posting this week. I have read rbanner's posts and skimmed through the replies and I think I can solve this one more easily that trying to call out anyone on whether or not they are a true fan. Just answer simply and with all things being equal. There is no need to include anything subjective because this is not a subjective poll. This is also not an opinion poll on whether or not you think he will be successful. Just ask yourself, do you want Stafford to be successful?
This is a FanPost and does not necessarily reflect the views of Pride of Detroit or its writers. FanPosts are valued expressions of opinion by passionate and knowledgeable fans.

Long live Staff's career in Detroit!
Because if it lives long, that means we’re doing well!
GO LIONS! RESTORE THE ROAR!
If you do not......
then you are not a TRUE Lions fan. Tigerfan, my approach was just showing the overflow of passion I have for this team. Your approach is definitely a much more conservative one. I think that my approach encompasses many more issues than just whether or not we want Stafford to have a long and successful career in Detroit. I do think that anyone who says no is not a real fan of this team, however I also believe that you could hope for Stafford to have a long and successful career in Detroit while still not being a true fan of the team.
My opinion is that if you do not like Ford Sr, if you do not like Mayhew, if you do not like Schwartz, or if you want to criticize the players that is all well and good, IF you can back your argument with solid, and CURRENT, facts. If you do not watch the Lions, or if you follow them passively because you do not like the fact that they are not winning (maybe even rooting for another team that is winning in the process), and subsequently you come here and spout off at the mouth about how bad the owner, players, FO, and coaching staff are, then it is my opinion that you are not a true fan. I have a major dislike for people of that nature…..thus my response (even if it seems excessive). I have watched the Lions rise and fall for 29 years (since I was old enough to remember). I have stuck by them through thick and thin. While I have often blamed Ford for the people he employed to manage the team, and even those people themselves for the failures of the Lions, and while I have been critical of some of the players over the years, I watch or listen to every single game that I can, I always cheer for the Lions even if they are getting destroyed, and I NEVER abandon them. And when I have publicly criticized Ford, the FO, the coaches, or the players, I have always had an argument that I could back with current data (just ask anyone here who has read my posts long enough to know).
I wear a Lion’s hat with pride…..it is beaten, worn, and dirty. I defend the team to others who would abandon them. I knew very well when I posted my “I AM a Lions Fan” post that a vast majority of people on this site are true fans. If I was calling anyone out, it was the people who have recently exhibited a lack of passion for the team, not the guys who I have had discussions with on a regular basis for the past 8 months. I guess I just can’t see the point of being a Lions fan part time. Either you are a fan, or you are not.
agreed.
i don’t post too much, but i read this damn blog everyday. lol.
my dad had season tickets until i was 17, when we couldn’t afford them anymore because he lost his job. he designs car parts, so we can all i’m sure relate.

I got my "D" tat back in 1989 right on my forearm so all can see.
actually i have two Detroit related tats. One on each of my forearms.
Guess who voted YES?
As bitter and angry at the Lions as he is, he just couldn’t bring himself to vote no.
If any Rams trolls pop up in the next week, lets sic him on them
How could you vote no?
If your a fan of the Lions, and Staff has a long and successful career, that means the team is at the very least competitive. I mean, unless you have some kind of personal beef against the kid.
