Tuesday Notes: Rams Will Be Down Three Starters on Sunday

  • We will soon find out if Matthew Stafford, Calvin Johnson, and other injured Lions returned to practice today.  Stafford and Johnson missed Friday's practice, as did Larry Foote, DeAndre Levy, and others.  Daunte Culpepper sat out on Thursday but returned on Friday, so I'm assuming he will be good to go this week against St. Louis.
  • Stafford said he will try to practice today in order to test his knee.  It certainly doesn't sound like anyone is really sure of where Stafford is at in the recovery process, so I guess we will just have to wait and see how his knee responds if he does get back on the practice field.  If he doesn't practice, then that would be very telling about his health.
  • The Rams are also banged up, and they will be without three of their regular starters on Sunday.  Two of them -- cornerback Bradley Fletcher and long snapper Chris Massey -- are out for the season.  Guard Richie Incognito isn't out for the season, but he will miss Sunday's game because of a ligament injury in his right foot.
  • Vinny Ciurciu has been all over the practice field.
  • Brandon Pettigrew realizes that he needs to start playing better.
  • Keary Colbert is headed to the UFL.  Based on his play in the preseason, that is probably a better place for him than the NFL.

I'm not sure what else to say

WE NEED TO BEAT ST. LOUIS!!!! (regardless of injuries)

Also I’m glad PGrew admits he has to play better. He was the 20th overall pick in the NFL draft!! He has to do a lot more to warrant that selection. I also will literally throw up if Marc Bulger has a great game against us………..there is no way in hell he should have a QB rating anywhere near 100.

I'm hoping we keep Bulger to less than 100

It would go a long way to us winning.

Stafford practiced and Johnson did not. This according to Killer.

Ciurciu

The link to “Vinny Ciurciu has been all over the practice field” is wrong. I am anxious to find out anything positive about our special teams play – could someone fix the link or find me the correct one?

Thanks

Thanks

Sorry I missed that. I was hoping all over the practice field meant he was tackling well, not wearing different jerseys and practicing with different groups.

IF.....

Culpepper is starting or worse, Stanton, then we will loose.

Dante is yet to have a winning game under his belt. We should have traded him for a pack of bacon or a box of nails or something.
We can win without CJ, but it will be close. The Rams wont go easy. I wouldnt be surprised if they did beat us. I hope that isnt the case though.

Is there any possibility...

that someone can create a direct link to whichever team we’re playing’s site? It would be nice not to have to search for their page…

I meant

it as something more as a regular occurance, possibly on the homepage somewhere…don’t know if thats possible.
