Thank You Veterans!

(Note from Sean: Couldn't have said it better myself.  I know there are quite a few military members on here, so to all of them and everybody in the military, stay safe and come home soon!)

It is you who make is possible for me to decide to come into work today because I don't want to use my leave.

It is you who give us the fredom of speech to repsectfully disagree with CFL's take on picking up Larry Johnson.

It is you who goes to work everyday knowing that you my have to go into harms way to defend your countryman

It is you who does so without another thought

It is you who sleeps in the desert or on board a ship at sea and sometimes can't get on POD to check out your Lions....but we know you still love them.

Today we remember the fallen and honor the living. Thank you Veterans for everything you have done and continue to do.

Very Respectfully,

Mark

Well said Capitol

My father, an Air Force veteran, still thinks this country doesn’t do nearly enough for its Military and veterans. I tend to agree but I think it’s changing for the better. I for one will do my part today and hope others do as well.

Now……………..GO LIONS!!!!!!!!!!

I am a veteran

And even I am humbled by the guys still doing it! Everyday I think about going back in. I miss it a lot. If it wasn’t for me getting burned out by deployments (3 in 5 years) I would have stayed.

Oh, and the Navy is the best service…sorry felllas!

Thank you

I am currently serving in the beloved Marine Corps and it an amazing thing when some one acknowledges the military for what they do. We dont hear it often but when we do hear it we really appreciate it. I have served in Iraq twice and dont know if i am going back but i am sure i will. I know what the men and women think when they hear people protesting what we do. So to hear some one say Thank you and respect what we do is an absolute honor.

Capitol Lion sorry man but you and everyone knows the MARINE CORPS IS THE BEST!!

Ninety-one Years ago

On the eleventh month on the eleventh day, of the eleventh hour, we saw the end of the great war, and it is on this day we honor our veterans.

WWI

It was the “war to end all wars” but human nature being what it is, we will never see the end of wars, until the king of kings returns.

I know our D really sucks.

I’m actually an Iowa fan but I was born and raised in Toledo and I go to school here so I like to see them win.

Eric Page is the best freshman athlete in the country though I love watching him play.

Hope Dan LeFevour gets some Heisman hype as well (you should get that going)

Thank you to every veteran who has served, is serving, and will serve.

You are much braver and much more of a man than I or anyone who hasn’t served could ever be. From the bottom of my heart and everybody else’s THANK YOU for everything you do and for protecting our asses and freedoms everyday. You are the ones that truly deserve the millions of dollars that the athletes make. If it were up to me you would get that kind of money.

Thank you to all of the men and women of our armed forces.....

Thank you to those of you who protect our freedoms today, and to those of you who did the same in the past. I won’t forget the men and women who died to protect our freedoms, and I will always honor those of you who choose to serve in the military. Stay safe and come home soon!

GOD BLESS THE USA!

“They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.”

Thank you POD!

I am in the US Army and serving in Japan and The Philippines.
Its your site and all of its fans that make being deployed and without live football (even though you guys dont get to see many live games either due to blackouts), that much more bearable.

Thank you everyone!
