Same results Cutler or Stafford?

It cost us more $$$  but does Stafford clearly has more potential than Cutler?  Yes we could have signed Cutler but he did not want to come to the Lions.  Fine with me looking at his stats,  I'll take Stafford over Cutler.  Better attitude more potential??!    5 INTS tonight.  Stafford injured threw 5 ints last weekend. This could be a great discussion.  The Lions will get better give it time and putting the right pieces around him.   Your thoughts?  Let's hear them.

Cutler cost the Bears TWO first round picks AND a third AND a QB

For a team that desperately needs its picks to rebuild, that’s too much, I think.

Stafford only cost us one first-round pick.

Yeah, he was expensive, but we can afford him. We don’t have a whole bunch of great players from the Millen era that we need big-$$$ to re-sign.

So I don’t know why anyone wouldn’t pick Stafford for the Lions over Cutler. Stafford is younger, has the same arm strength, arguably more upside, better attitude, and didn’t require as may draft picks.

I'll tell you why

Because they are ignorant, biased, harbormasters of negativity……that is why they would choose Cuntler over Stafford.

I'd take Staff

but my opinion is biased of course. After 5 NFL games though its hard to judge Staff right now so I will take the unknown entity over a douchebag like Cutler anyday.

Your opinion is not really all that biased.....

if you look at everything from a logical viewpoint. Stafford is younger, more mature, and has all of the intangible qualities that Cutler has and then some. Long term, Stafford is more valuable than Cutler at this point.

Good god, Stafford hands down.....

But it’s an easy question to answer. We all know that Cutler isn’t the greatest thing since John Elway. He’s very streaky. Staffor still has a lot to prove before you can pass judgement.

I am willing to bet Staff will pan out far better. Hopefully Cutler’s performance will chill out a few people to realize that even veteran QBs can have a stinker of a game. Although Cutler was not 100% at fault. His receivers deserve a lot of the blame.

Stafford.

Cutler is over-rated. The Bears are screwed by that ‘deal’ for many years to come…
It will be fun to watch Stafford play over the coming years – the winning will come!

I BELIEVE...

No.....57 of us are wrong.....the other 3 are right

Stafford sucks……maybe we should have resigned Garcia……LOL

by KDawg on Nov 13, 2009 5:30 PM EST reply actions   0 recs

Forget Garcia

lets pull Gary Danielson out of the booth and get him on the field (he’s the only Lion QB to ever throw 5 pics one game and 5 TD’s the next!!! This would be his comeback game)

I'm a Lion, I stick with the pack...

I think we’ve seen quite a few 5 INT games this year, which shows how common it can be. The fact that experienced QB’s like Warner & Cutler can throw 5 picks shows that Staff throwing 5 ain’t so bad. Sure, it’s not a good thing, but it can happen, and I’d rather have it happen now, then when we are challenging for NFC North (like Chicago are).

screw Cutler

I don’t want that whiny ass QB on our team – I want Stafford, who actually said that he WANTED to be here and WANTS to help turn this thing around. Why would anyone want a QB like Cutler who wouldn’t even want to be here and who would be looking for the fastest ticket out of town he could find? Screw that guy, I’ll look forward to drilling his ass and intercepting him all day for the next decade or so every time we face him

Bears got ripped off on that trade.

I knew when they made that trade they got ripped off. Cutler was only decent in DEN because he had a great O-line and great receivers. As soon as his whinny pathetic diabetic ass gets to an average team with average talent he sucks ass all over the field.
