Matthew Stafford's torn jersey and ball from sunday's in Football Hall of Fame
I woke up this morning to check the news and what do I find on NFL.com?
Staffords torn jersey from sunday's game, as well as the ball he threw for the 75 yard TD to calvin, are going to be on display in the pro football hall of fame.
He broke positive records on sunday, something we are not used to in Detroit. We have broken several records in the past year or 2, but mostly for losing.
This is just a great testament to how amazing that game was and also to how well he performed. I couldn't be more excited as I feel this is validation for us and shows that we could be in for something extraordinary in the future with this kid and Calvin.
I didn't want Stafford before the season but, I can honestly say that Drew was right. This kid is an NFL QB and has shown what he is capable of. While he may not be perfect, he's my QB.
(Plus for all those haters, hes now better on the books for the season when compared to Sanchez. Go compare their stats on NFL.com)

Incase someone doesn't know the record broken.....
Stafford set the rookie single-game passing record when he threw for 422 yards in the Lions win. He also became the second rookie quarterback to throw five TDs in the same game. The first time that occurred was in 1937 when Chicago Bears QB Ray Buivid accomplished the feat.
He is also....
The youngest player in NFL history to throw for 5 TDs in one game…..
I read somewhere that the last time a rookie threw for 5 TDs in one game was 1950…..I wish I could find that again.
Staff vs Sanch
Staffs numbers are better accross the board…with 2 less games played. On a less talented team…nuff said

Stafford the Rookie
He’s a learning Quarterback… he needs time to get better and if he has a better overall team his numbers will grow tremendously.
