Hanson has missed 5 times inside of 50 this year......

and once at 50+.

I am worried that his age is starting to show…..and I love the guy. He’s the best!

However, I do not see us using a draft pick on a kicker just yet. I see more and more FA kickers coming in during the offseason and preseason though, and if the time comes where one is better than Jason Hanson, I think he might make the team (I do not see the Lions cutting Hanson ever, he will retire here).

The Best Comment You've EVER made det32!!!!!

Spelled correct and everything, almost…..luv ya!

Why would we trade a pick and Sims to get Rogers Back???

And Drafting a PUNTER??? not unless he can free kick from the opposite 30.

(is this guy crazy, drunk, rbanner, both, all 3, none of the to the left, all of the to the left????)

Why the obsession with Rogers?

That guy is a friggin bum! Last thing we need is another lazy lineman that spends the 4th quarter suckin on an O2 tank. Maybe we should go get Charles Rogers back too. He had loads of talent too.

Zoltan was a second-round pick in Madden

So I don’t think he will make it to the sixth-round. Lol j/k

I have no idea how high a punter would go. As much as I love Zoltan, there’s no point to draft a punter when we already have one, especially that early.

you don't draft punters....

you try them out, if they work, you sign them……..

Are we really still humoring this guy?

We drafted Hanson in the 2nd round too

But I agree…..you don’t draft punters.

by KDawg on Dec 13, 2009 11:16 PM EST up reply actions

If you can get a solid 19 years of PK duties in the draft

I say go for it. I don’t see anyone this year in college warranting that but Hanson has missed 5 of his last 11 FG’s attempted. Very un-Hanson linke.

Austin Lane

A possible 4th round pick that i would like, and with the second pick we need to take Pouncy or Lupati OG. we need a wr that can catch staffords laser passes, Steve Breaston maybe. Free agents this year are not very good. I think we should trade Backus or let his contract end the pick up a franchise LT. Would give my left nut for Ndamkong Suh. but i like Berry alot.

by latif on Dec 14, 2009 7:54 PM EST up reply actions

why do people want reggie bush here?

Doesn’t make sense to me…he is a great complementary weapon in a n explosive offense. New England, San Diego, Indy, and of course New Orleans (teams with established offenses) can afford to sign him to add another dimension to their offense. We can’t cause we have much greater needs like an O-line.

No Bush

But, he is a FA not a draft prospect. He would add a dimension but, Aaron Brown can do that. Lets get Aaron the ball shit!!
