Why Is Culpepper Playing?

As I sit and watch this game im wondering to myself why is Culpepper playing?.....Hes slow and very inacurate....yes its raining and windy yet Flacco is playing well so thats not the reason.....The reason he isnt playing well is because he isnt any good.....Why Stanton didnt start this game is beyond me.....Also after I just watched a 3 and out with no emotion or effort out of the QB in the late 3rd makes me sick.....Put Stanton in and start him until Stafford is ready to play again.....Stanton is younger and has more to play for......You would think the staff would want to see what he has and see if he is a guy they want to keep around for the future.....Duante youve had a pretty decent NFL career however you my friend are done in the NFL.

No idea whatsoever

Stanton must really suck for him not to be playing ahead of Culpepper.

Im not so sure he does......

…..If anything I know he would have hit Mega in the endzone there……he is surely better then Culpepper though.

Or he is sick or hurt

Those are the only reason he wouldnt be playing…..he may have gotten sick at halftime after watching Culpepper suck it up.

The Lions were trying to do DC a favor

And let him prove that he still has what it takes to be a starter in the NFL…..unfortunately for him, it was an EPIC FAIL!

The Lions know he will be gone after this year. My bet is that if Matt Stafford can not go next week, Stanton may get a shot.

I wish I knew Bennie

After watching this game. CPep is truly beyond awful. I can’t think of any reason he was still playing. Why on earth don’t we just give Stanton a shot????

…….I mena the defense sucked in the 3rd because Cupepper didnt get but one 1st down in the 2nd and 3rd!!!!……I dont care what you say thats why the Defense was horrible!!!

Schwartz just said he was "mad as a hornet" and that there would be accountability....

……..and immediately after, said Culpepper is the backup, and “as long as he’s healthy, he’s going to play”.

WTF????

Does accountability count for everybody BUT Culpepper???

What? He can’t block a dead gopher? Humph, details.

Strangely, I'm not surprissed by those comments.......

Once again, Drew Stanton is inexplicably denied his chance, in every way possible. We’ve all seen the pattern now.

It must be something personal. Nothing else makes sense. Marinelli hated Drew. Jim Coletto hated Drew. Now Schwartz hates Drew. What, does Stanton go around flipping off the coaches every day and telling them to F*** off? If so, you’d think they’d just cut him.

This is just surreal…..but we’re all used to it by now.

What? He can’t block a dead gopher? Humph, details.

Is Drew signed for next year?

If not, I can’t see him wanting to stay here…….unless that’s the personal issue, that Drew just wants a roster spot and to get paid. But I doubt that’s it, so when Drew’s contract is up, I expect him to walk out of here as fast as he can, even if the Lions offer a contract. This may be one time that two in the bush is worth more than one in the hand. Drew Stanton will never start a game here. And that’s a shame.

Good luck, Drew……….somewhere.

100%

Agreed. I wanted CPEP to play well so that we could trade him. That is never going to happen. Let Stantonplay. He’s mobile. Let’s see what he’s got.

Remember when....

Remember when people actually wanted C Pepp to start at the beginning of the year? Thank the Lord he didn’t!

I hear ya there.....

….I was amazed that people wanted him playing in week 1….Couldnt believe it.
