NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has live chat on Thursday.

Personally, I want to know if he can hasten a Rookie Salary Cap.  In my humble opinion, it's absence is an obstacle to teams that are rebuilding.  If you have any questions, you can submit them at the address above.  A moderator will select questions for the live chat.

Any questions you think may be important for Lions fans to have answered?  If several of us submit a similar question, it may have a better chance of being asked.

Mr Commissioner

Seeing as how the Lions have sucked for so long, can we have Suh and two other picks this season before anyone else goes? Thanks.

Lions faithful….

I would ask him

Mr Goodell would it be wrong if we let the Patriots draft for us?

Dear Mr. Commish....

I have a few ideas that I would like you to listen to….

1. Please lift the “ridiculosity” that is the NFL’s outdated, small-minded blackout policy. Not every fan can be a season ticket holder. Not every fan can attend multiple games every year. Not everyone can afford to even make one game each year. Not every fan lives two blocks from the stadium. The NFL lives high and mighty and rules the sports world because of the fans. Give a little back and stop being so damn greedy. If money is the issue… take it from Snyder and Jones.

2. Please implement a rookie salary cap so that someone who has never taken a snap doesn’t make more than Tom Brady. Wasn’t the draft designed to “help” the teams with the worst records? How does strapping them with a $70MM bill which doesn’t allow them to sign other free agents allow them to get better? Just curious. I’m just a simple fan and not too smart about these complex issues (and yes Mr.Commish… my tongue is firmly planted in my cheek right as my foot will be in your ass if you don’t change this soon).

3. Stop trying to move games overseas. This is an American sport (sorry for that part, Hyperion). Does anyone besides me remember NFL Europa or the World League or whatever name you switched it to to try to “fool” us into thinking it wasn’t a joke of a league. Players already complain about have to fly to West Coast games, now you want inter-continental games? Give it up. Americans want THEIR sport to stay in THEIR country.

4. If you allow a football stoppage because of unproductive labor negotiations, I will find 100 of my biggest friends… including every able person from the POD website… and hunt you and DeMaurice Smith down and tie your nuts to the bumper of a Ferrari with Jimmy Johnson behind the wheel. Believe it.

Cordially,
DrewsLions

Awesome, just Awesome

Especially no.4, I don’t think I could function properly without football for a season.
