I would love to see Javier Arenas

Solid corner, great returner. Plus I drafted him in Madden and always like when that stuff happens in real life.

Not bad

One of the better looking mocks I’ve seen so far, naturally, without research, I don’t know much about the players, but the positions hit seem solid.

I do think that DE is the biggest need, but...

Me likey Suh. I know, I know… we most likely won’t get him. Don’t squash my dreams, okay?

Seems like this Morgan kid is shooting up the charts awfully quick. I’m nervous about that. I like the players that are talked about all year. Maybe I just don’t know enough about him or watch enough college ball, but I think this might be a little high for him. It seems like only weeks ago, the “draft gurus” were saying there were no stud DEs in this draft. Now this Morgan kid is popping up on mocks everywhere.

Anyone with solid college football knowledge want to give a quick what’s what on this guy?

DE Derrick Morgan 6-4 272 Jr. Georgia Tech

Morgan leads the ACC and ranks sixth nationally in sacks 12.5. He jumped up the boards after a 3 sack game against Clemson. He is big, fast, and strong. He plays the pass equally well as the run. He can’t be blocked one-on-one. I guess he is a intense player, a high-motor guy, and good athlete.

Even with that said about Morgan. I think if Suh is not there. The Lions should take Okung. I feel the DE position is a deep one in this draft. There seems to be alot of DE’s popping up lately in the “Mocks” Cameron Heyward( Ironhead’s kid) from Ohio State is another one. Some of these guys will fall into the 2nd and third rounds.

I agree JC

DE is not the biggest need on the team at this point anyway. Even if it was, the BPA when we pick will not be a DE (in my opinion). If Mayhew and Co stick to the BPA approach, and Suh is gone….bet on us picking Berry (if he declares) or Okung.

Disclaimer

Even though I do not see Berry as a top 5 pick OR the BPA at pick 3 or 4….the media most certainly will have him ranked up there.

I would like to see DE taken no earlier than 4th round.

I am all about a OT, OG, DT,and DB’s…than a DE

Pretty good

I actually like the Riley Cooper pick-up if he lasts that long. I think overall we need size on the D-Line and lots of help on the O-Line. CB is a need as well. In the 6th round I would take another lineman, RB’s that low never seem to make much of an impact. I like our chances with Maurice Morris and/or FA there.

You didn't put my personal preference

Which is G.

I think with proper G help (which we haven’t had basically ever) our tackles would perform WAY better. G has been a turnstile for years, and if you want to be a power rushing/deep threat type of offense, you HAVE to have the interior lineman be capable of handling the huge guys in the middle so the tackles can take care of the ends and linebackers.

Just Remember matt... what would Daunte do??

i voted for DT

for a number of reasons..
it not as much our OT as it is OG
its not as much are DB as it is out D-line
you can argue that our DE are in worse shape the DT
RB and WR can be fixed with FA at least for a year or 2
