There will be some changes soon

Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that the Lions claimed Witherspoon on waivers today.

The Lions also signed former Giants tight end Michael Matthews, and the Lions promoted running back Cedric Peerman from the practice squad.

----

Jim said he was making a change.. well here it is.....

It will be interesting to see what moves are made.... Witherspoon is a PR/KR and CB if I remember correctly.... So whoever a CB KR RB TE should start sweating?..... Someone will be going back to the PS if they can make it through waivers... if it is one of our rookies... wow.. i have a feeling he will get picked up... but we'll see

Brian Witherspoon

Is a dime corner at best…but he is dangerous in the return game; I believe he went to school with SLH…

Cedric Peerman

I wanted to see him get drafted in the later rounds of the draft… He was a solid RB @ UVA, and I’m a sucker for Virginia/VTech college players.

Was he previously on our practice squad? I wasn’t aware.
