Week 15 Trivia

Dear POD'ers:

NO!!!  Not another mock draft!!!!!  PLEASE!!!!!  With all this draft talk I was thinking back to some of the drafts I remember.  I will never forget the Aaron Gibson draft (for some reason I LOVED that pick.  He's about 3 lbs heavier than CPep) of course the Harrington 2002 draft (that was Millen's second draft and his first was actually pretty good so I was still optimistic back then) and of course the Staff draft of 2009.  I also remember this draft combination especially, the year before and the year I graduated high school (insert old joke).  I thought it was going to be the start of a great run for the Lions.  I was so high on these successive draft classes (high on other things as well mind you).  This brings me to this weeks trivia question:

1991 was the 12-4 season,

I know Herman Moore was a rookie, but I don’t think he was drafted the same year as Andre Ware. Wasn’t he a 1st round pick too. Maybe we had 2. I was only 13.

You were right

My bad – I did some research. My memory is going!!! I thought these 2 were drafted the same year but it was 1990 and 1991.

I thought we had 2 1st rounders in 1991

It was the 12-4 season and our only NFC Champoinship game in history. We got smoked by the ’Skins but I thought we had two first rounders in 1991. Maybe I should have done some research first!!! LOL
