Sean I know its off topic but this is an amazing accomplishmnet for a michigan program. Congrats to Tom Izzo and his program......What he has done at Michigan State in his 15 years is amazing and will continue for 25 more......Its amazing that Jud Heathcote basically had to beg the AD to hire this guy......Great job Tom.....He continues to win with 2 and 3 star recruits and the reason why?......He can coach.....Lets bring home another Final 4 and title in 2010!!!!.....GO GREEN!!!!! GO WHITE!!!!

A few things.

First, there is know way that what Izzo did was better than what Donovan did in Florida or what Williams did at UNC. Roy coaches in what was the toughest conference in basketball for most of the decade. The four teams that those two put together were by far the best in the decade. Roy’s first: Marvin Williams, Sean May, Rashad McCants, Raymond Felton. His Second: Hansborough, Lawson, Danny Green. The Florida teams with Noah, Horford, Brewer.

As for playing with 2 or 3 star recruits you obviously don’t check out any recruiting guides. According to scout: ‘06-12th, ’07-9th, ’08-17th, ’09-Out of Top 30, and currently for 2010-7th. So Tom isn’t cooking with an empty cupboard.

Comparing With Roy....

……Roy has 4 and 5 star every year……Yes Izzo has had some great players but made a 2 final 4s this decade without one 4 star recruit…..Thats coaching my man.

He had recruits.

From 2002-2010 according to Scout, Izzo has had 20 4* recruits and 5 5* recruits. Thats recruiting my man.

It wasnt about putting together the best team.....

…….of the decade it was results…..I could have coached those 2 teams to titles……This post I made was just for an accomplishment for a great job by a great coach.
