Offseason plan (December 22nd)

Trade: Ernie Sims for 4th round pick

Free agents:

Willie Parker, RB, Steelers: Change of pace back, could be a great back to have with Morris until KSmith comes all the way back.

Jason Avant, WR, Eagles: Very underrated receiver, a much needed threat for Stafford to target.

Lance Moore, WR, Saints: Could be what everyone thought Northcutt was going to be, a possession, fast, homerun hitter.

David Baas,OG,49ers: The Lions need OLine help as bad as anything.

Marcus Spears, DE, Cowboys: Still young, and could be really good in the Schwartz's system

Kyle Vanden Bosch, DE, Titans: A veteran DLineman who has played under Jim Schwartz and could be a great depth player

Keith Bulluck, LB, Titans: Another veteran who may be let go by the Titans because of his age and recent injury. Schwartz may be able to lure him to Detroit.

(Both Vanden Bosch and Bulluck should come cheap at a veterans price)

(Resign) Larry Foote, LB, Lions: has been a great player and a silver lining for the Lions

Marlin Jackson, CB, Colts: a good player and a starting cornerback.

Ryan Clark , S , Steelers: much needed depth and experience for the TERRIBLE secondary

Draft:

#2. Ndamukong Suh, DT, Nebraska : One of the best DLineman to ever come out of college. Instant impact and starter. Could be an anchoring the DLine for many years to come. St.Louis will need a QB more than anything, hopefully they stay at one and select Bradford or Clauson, because they will have many options to trade up and get Suh. Eric Berry or Gerald Mccoy would be the pick if Suh goes #1.

#34. Donovan Warren, CB, Michigan : Settle down and listen, Warren is an elite corner. He would be a top 15 pick next year. Why not take a shot at him here. Our secondary is garbage, and Warren is a great value pick at 34. Could be in the nickel and learn until he is lockdown corner. Brandon Graham or Brandon Ghee could be good picks here too.

#66. Sam Young, OT, Notre Dame : Many people thought he was going to be a 1st rounder during his career at ND, but hasnt met standards. Finally a player to compete at LT. Could be a great value at 67.

#98. Boo Robinson, DT, Wake Forest : A big, fast DT who could get after the QB and be able to stop the run and be a solid depth player with Suh and Hill.

#104. Perrish Cox, CB/KR, Oregon State : Still need a return man and more talent and youth in the secondary.

#130. Freddie Barnes, WR, BGSU : Was one of the top 3 receivers this year in college football, a big receiver with great hands. A total steal in the 5th round

#152. Deunta Williams, SS, UNC : A playmaker and big hitter, could be a steal in the 5th.
