I was not surprised to see it... but it makes total sense.. you can get a free roster spot for a player to evaluate maybe find a diamond in the rough??... there's nothing to play for for this year. Get ready for the off season..!!! Get Stafford healthy. I see a great future, in our QB spot, finally!! Now the interesting part who will fill that opening. I'd say DEFENSIVE POSITION!!

On PFT, a response to the article about this -

they shouldve went with culpepper all season anyways and i can guarantee u they wouldve won more games if thats the whole point of playing the actual games is to win. i never can understand sitting down the guy that gives u a better chance to win than someone who may one day be good.

Sometimes I wonder if people actually WATCH other teams’ games.

whoever wrote that is an absolute idiot and never saw a Lions game this year. That is a very lofty guarantee as well, considering we have seen all 14 games this year and we can guarantee CPep sucked beyond all beleif.
