Opinions Needed for Mock Draft

I am participating in a mock draft on Football Burrito with other NFL bloggers and want your opinions before I make a pick.  The first thing I want is your thoughts on who I should take #1 overall.  After that, let me know what you think about this trade I have been offered by the Browns blogger:

Lions get:

QB Derek Anderson
WR Braylon Edwards
TE Kellen Winslow

Browns get:

WR Calvin Johnson
#20 overall pick

Personally, I do not want to give up Calvin Johnson, but it is very enticing to get a QB, a TE, and a hometown WR (even if he can't catch a pass).  Right now I am leaning toward declining the trade, but I will take the results of the below poll into consideration before making a decision either way.

Anyways, leave your thoughts in the comments section.

UPDATE: I declined the trade.

The wouldn’t have offered that trade last year. Only after Derek Anderson is exposed as a fraud is that a possibility. You’d give up an arguably better WR, to get back an iffy QB, that might tie your hands in other ways, and what’s left? Kellen Winslow for a #20 pick?

Granted, I’m not a fan of the KWII, but with as many needs as the Lions have, that pick could be put to better use.

I agree

Looks like the decision has been made based on the feedback of the poll. lol

Mock

I don’t like the trade proposal giving the perfomances Anderson and Edwards had last year. Calvin is our go to guy for years to come and that is just too much to ask for.
As for the mock I think we should go Curry number one!

#1 overall

Curry looks solid and safe!
A nice dual threat at OLB, its a thing of beauty.

crazy

CJ is gunna be the best WR in the league hands down if we get are O Line and qb situated we could get better qbs in free agency then Anderson u cannot trade Megatron no matter what. And for the love of god draft Curry him and Ernie o lord we wouldnt even need a 3rd lb lol

. . . not like Anderson, Edwards, and Winslow got them much of anything last year. Sacrificing a player who could go down as one of the best ever to play, plus a chance to get a player we desperately need at LB, CB, OL, etc. . . no way.

Peace
Ty

Sean, when is the mock draft going to be posted?

Make us proud. Take curry, laurinaitis, unger, tyson jackson, pat white, and then fill in the rest of the holes.

obviously not all of those, but those are the guys i think are good picks..

If you dont take curry then I like Laurinaitis, but if Jackson falls to 1.20 you should take him.

And hopefully unger is still there at 2.1 but I doubt he makes it out of the first round.

Aaron Curry at 1-1

Then maybe Britton or Beatty at 1-20 (unless Sanchez falls that far).

I would not make that trade. Anderson is suspect and Winslow is a cancer. CJ is the real deal

I live in Cleveland...

…and these three are the scapegoats for the floundering Browns offense last season. Give up our best offensive threat for a shadow of the 2007 season? Not a chance!

I wouldn't take it by a slim margin

Building for the long haul does not mean giving up your biggest offensive threat and a building block. If you want to win 2 more games (my projection on how those guys would help us) next year, make the deal, but you mortgage the future.
