Rex Grossman ?

What up guys, just wanted to pass this along to you all, it appears that Rex Grossman wants to be a Lion, now i know what you may all be thinking but as some one who lives in Chicago, Rex Grossman has been unfairly criticized and has taken a lot of heat from the fans in Chicago. Recently he has played behind an injured line, had no wr's and had Cedric Benson as his RB. When he was at his best he was a big piece to a puzzle that went to a Super Bowl.  I know the defense was awesome, but if you go back and look at his stats, he was real good.  He has a strong arm and i could see him and Calvin hooking up many times.  With Daunte and Rex competing for the top spot, and the Lions drafting a qb in the later rounds, i could see this being a good thing.  I could be wrong and i know its popular to jump on Rex, but he isnt as bad as advertised.

anyway check this article out:

Rex likes Lions heading into free agency BY BRAD BIGGS Staff Reporter <!-- Article's First Paragraph --> <!-- BlogBurst ContentStart -->

From Brad Biggs' "Inside the Bears" blog:

Are the Bears ready for Rex Grossman twice a year?

The former quarterback named the Detroit Lions as one of the more interesting teams he has an eye on as he heads to free agency.

Grossman called Calvin Johnson one of the best, if not the best wide receiver in the league, said he'd like playing home games in a dome and lauded new Lions offensive coordinator Scott Linehan.

"They're not as bad as their record," Grossman said earlier today on Sirius NFL Radio, appearing on the Blitz with Adam Schein and John Riggins. "They are a good team. I would love to be there."

Oh christ

Such a bad idea. Grossman sucked when he had a defense to lean on and an offensive line. Take those away, and you think he’s going to be any better?

Gag me.

That’s the sound of me vomiting all over my desk after reading this post. :)

I’d rather have Culpepper or Kitna than Grossman

I still say J.P. Lossman is our best shot at a backup

He can step in for peppy when he gets hurt, cause he will, and when he plays decent, maybe earn the starting job.

I think they abandoned him too early when they picked up edwards.

What about trying to steal T. Jackson from minny now that they have rosenfels?

woah !

You dont have to resort to name calling brother, i saw the article on the sun times website, i thought you all may want to see it, and i posted it. Just because you dont agree with my opinion doesnt make me dumb. I’ve seen EVERY game he played so i know he can have good games. I may be wrong, but its only an opinion.

How about this, only YOU should post on this site since you are so knowledgeable on the game of football.

grossman should consider himself lucky that he is even considered for a NFL roster spot

i loved him when he was the bears qb, he panics and either throws the ball up for INT’s or falls down in the fettle position and crys

Zeke

I think you should come up with some Football questions and quiz us all on our knowledge, it could be fun if we answer wrong then we don’t get to post anymore what do you say…

Dan O decided he starts here or he is gone. Clearly Culpepper is the staffs favorite for the job and Dan does not like it. Don’t blame him. Daunte did nothing to deserve it.
