Wednesday Notes: Return Game to Be Addressed Via Free Agency?
Note: I'm going to keep this brief because I am busy with signing day-related things over on my Michigan blog. As a result, posting throughout the day will be limited unless something extremely newsworthy happens.
- The Lions are likely going to attempt to improve their return game via free agency.
- There are many similarities between Martin Mayhew and Cardinals general manager Rod Graves.
- Could a Canadian Football League team potentially be coming to Detroit in the near future?
- The Oakland Raiders have decided to hire Tom Cable as their head coach. Cable served as the Raiders' interim coach after Lane Kiffin left the organization this past season.

YES TO CFL
I want a CFL team in the Silverdome. Detroit Iron? Detroit Chrome? Detroit Metal? All of those work for me.
Peace

As long as Ford doesn't own the franchise
a CFL team could be a winner in Detroit.

Darren Sproles
Man, if the Lions can aquire Darren Sproles for kickoffs/punts and for that change of pace, there will be some exciting times next season.
Whether it be this year, next year, or 50 years from now. The Detroit Lions will eventually win a Super Bowl............I f'n hope.

true
i really think that with all the picks stockpiled, they can accomplish quite alot if they’re smart. Lets hope they can pick up someone like Sproles AND also aquire some line help

Sproles?
I’d love to hear from any of you how you’re expecting the Lions to get Sproles. You think he’d leave SD with LT on the downslope of his career? Too big of an opportunity with the Chargers for him to come to Detroit of all places, even for the money (which we don’t have to spend on just one player).

I agree
Sproles will not leave San Diego for a kick return/change of pace job unless we pay him a ton (which I would not), he already does that for the Chargers who are a better team. Besides what was the last big free agent the Lions managed to sign? Dre Bly? I never get my hopes up that the Lions will sign a top free agent.
