Lions DE Corey Smith, Three Others Missing in Gulf of Mexico
Lions defensive end Corey Smith, Raiders linebacker Marquis Cooper, and two others are missing in the Gulf of Mexico. The four friends left in a fishing boat at around 6:30 a.m. Saturday, and they haven't been seen since. The Coast Guard is currently searching approximately 50 miles off-shore for the fishing boat they left in, which is believed to be in distress possibly due to extremely choppy waves.
All four people are in my thoughts and prayers.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Corey Smith and his family, the Detroit Lions organization and their fans, and the rest of the men on that boat. We pray for their safe return on dry land.
