New Logo leaked

Seems like there is a truck out in NFL shop with the new logo on it.

This came via MLive Highlightreel I found it on Lionsredzone.

"

Well, it's been a long road of rumor, innuendo and speculation. But I think we've finally found the missing link.

Not so much in terms of human evolution, but at least in terms of the new Detroit Lions logo.

Thanks to Jim, who sent me an e-mail about his detective work, we have a pretty reliable image of the Lions logo. It comes directly from NFL.com. (And Jim, I owe you a beer of your choice!)

If you search by team and check out the new arrivals, you'll see a big rig with "Lions" written across the trailer and a slightly redesigned Bubbles logo. Or you can just click here. (Be sure to enlarge the image)"

Muscles

Much like the Minnesota Vikings updated logo a few years ago, the Lions have added some “muscle” and attitude to the logo — something our beloved Lions needed.

The logo keeps the traditional look of the lion like its color and the overall structure intact. Just wipe out the (Millen) black trim.

Now we just need confirmation from the Lions that it is true!

Being a fan since the early 1960s, I like the direction of this management team thus far.

it`s in the details

Might be wrong (I`m far in Russia to take a closer look;) ), but I think they’ve added couple of details – there’s definitely an eye, and that lion sure has some big teeth. Seems like the mane looks different, too. Overall, same logo.

Yes

Good detective work to find this. And from as reliable source as there can be for this type of thing.

Bah

To similar to the current logo. It’s like they gave the outline of the logo to some kids and had them draw the inside.

If they are going to change the logo, then change it. Starting something and not having the heart to finish it is the problem with the whole franchise mentality.

Should have Matt Millen in its mouth

the new Logo needs to have Millens head in its mouth …
   then we’d all cheer

NFL.com pulled the item???

This whole story smells… No working link, just a drawn big rig with a logo on it…. what other proof is out there?

How so?

The fact that they pulled it is because it leaked out before it was supposed to. Somebody e-mailed me actual images of the logo last week, but I couldn’t say anything or it would jeopardize my source.

Forgot to add this

The images are the same as the logo on the truck.
