Saints boards Mock Draft
Hello Lions fans.
My name is Mt_always and I have the honour of picking for the Lions in the mock draft on the Canal Street Chronicles mock draft.
I have a couple friends who are Lions fans and figured I would apply for the job. Yes that's right.. I ASKED for the Lions....
I would be honored to hear your input as well as my friends cause well you know the man on the street knows their team as well as the professionals so.
I think your defense needs some help. A MLB, CB , DT seem your biggest needs there.
On offense a QB and a LT to protect him.
I do not think I will draft a QB for you. I am not high on any in this draft.

No QB then I'd be proud to recomend you for the job.
I’d be happy with Curry , Smith , Monroe anyone but Stafford.

LT for me...
I hope that we get Smith in the first round, but I think that the list for most of the Lions fans here is LT/MLB/DT in no certain order:
1-1 : Curry
Smith 60% / Monroe 40%
Then, depending on the first pick,
1-20: Maluaga / Laurinatius
Peria Jerry
Oher / Andre Smith (though he understandably has some detractors here)
Then, depending on the second pick,
2-1: Ebon Britton / William Beatty /Alex Mack / Duke Robinson / Max Unger
Brace / Hood
The thinking is that we can get a LT and a DT later on, and Curry is the best in the draft. Again, I think that any combination of LT / DT / MLB is a good one for us and will get us three starters.

Curry. It's not just for Asian food anymore
We don’t want no stinkin’ Stafford. Curry, or at the very least, an OT, but not a QB.

I suggest.......
1. Eugene Monroe LT
20. Trade down for two late seconds or a second, third, and fourth [whatever that goddamn chart says] if possible. If not Peria Jerry DT.
33. Evander Hood or Ron Brace DT or Alex Mack – C
65. Scott McKillop – MLB
82. Cody Brown – DE/OLB

They can get McKillup later
i dont think they can afford to take McKillop at pick 65 , this pick has to be a starter or major role player
TE at 65 or 82 is a NEED

McKillop won't be there at #82
He has too much talent. They can’t afford not to take him at #65. To respond to your “starter” comment, he will be a starter. Plus, I like NorthLeft’s mock. It addresses needs at the point that we should in the draft. It builds both lines early (like good teams do) then we grab McKillop with #65. Even if he doesn’t start on day 1, he’ll be starting by mid-season. A solid player at the top of the 3rd round. That hasn’t happened since when? Oh, yeah, Kevin Smith.
A solid receiving TE will be there at #82. After the Heller signing, we’re good on blocking TE’s.

Yeah, I guess you're right.
We could use the comic relief from time to time.
