Lions interest in Simms?

http://www.nashvillecitypaper.com/news.php?viewStory=66535

I don't know how credible this paper is, but it def raises some eyebrows.  I'd love to see Chris Simms in honolulu blue.  I think he's an awesome option to contend for the starting position.  He played well for the Bucs prior to his spleen injury and he's still real young.  Any thoughts?  Do you think he could contend for the starting spot?  And how does signing him effect how we draft?

Simms

Simms would push Culpepper from the start, but knowing how mayhew feels about culpepper I wonder how serios it would get.

GOOD!!

If we could score Simms I think that he definately has a shot to be our starter. He did play really well in Tampa before getting injured. When he played there he showed that he is tough and also has good leadership. My bet is that if we get him he will be our starter for years to come. This would be a really good move lets see what Mayhew can do. i also think that Simms is looking for a starting role which will drive him away from the titans.

QB Options

Simms, sounds Good, but what about J.P. Losman? Scout.com has him rated about the same as Simms, and he is a year younger.

By all means do not take Stafford #1! (Maybe #20, if he falls).
