Lions to Reveal New Logo, Uniforms at Dunham's
Here are the details:
The Detroit Lions will hold a press conference Monday, April 20 at Dunham’s Sports in Madison Heights to unveil the team’s comprehensive new brand that includes a new logo, new uniforms and other branding elements. Lions President Tom Lewand will lead in the announcement of the Lions’ new brand. The time for Monday’s press conference is to be determined.
Dunham’s Sports will serve as the Lions’ exclusive third-party retail outlet from the unveiling event through Thursday, April 23. Immediately following Monday's press conference, new Lions’ merchandise, including jerseys, shirts and hats will be available exclusively at the Madison Heights store through Monday evening. Overnight, new Lions’ product will be shipped to participating Dunham’s Sports outlets throughout the state of Michigan.
This event will be open to both the media and the public.
As expected, the Lions are getting their new merchandise released just in time for the draft. That way they will be able to clean up in the sales department, as people will buy the new stuff just because it is new and also because of the hype surrounding the draft. It's a good marketing strategy, though no surprises are expected. The logo and uniforms, barring any recent changes, should be what we saw last month or whenever it was.

wearing my old Bubbles hat that I picked up from the online store’s clearance sale for $5….too bad I didn’t find out about that until the good stuff was mostly wiped out….but I did get a Jon Kitna Jersey for 10 bucks, a memento of the worst team ever….
We can only go up from here, right???
