Simple request
Not to divert too much from the draft talk, but I want to point out how much I love the volume of new people who are visiting the site and posting and contributing. As a Lion fan who doesn't live in Detroit, this is where I go to feel like a part of a community.
Now, that said, the draft is like our super bowl, so I understand why volume is at an all time high. PLEASE! Everyone! Keep posting during the season! Take part in live game threads and post links and put up commentary. Last season it felt like the same 15 guys were making all the posts. With any luck, this season we could have over 100!
I certainly was not amongst the first PoD regulars, but I'm not Johnny-come-lately to the site either. All I want to say is that everyone has been awesome and opinionated. Let's just hope this keeps up even after the hoopla surrounding the draft is over.
P.S.- I'm really warming up to Stafford. Every quantifiable measure that we have he excels in. He's smart, a good leader, and has a strong arm, and he wouldn't (shouldn't) play this year if Daunte is strong. Plus, say what you will about his Georgia career, but he knows how to play in the clutch. Do you guys remember his final game against MSU? See the link below. He struggled early, but made some key adjustments and was dominant in the second half. The way I see it, QB takes longer to develop than any other position. Might as well get one in the pipeline earlier so that we can legitimately compete in 2010 or 2011.

This site is home for fans of DETROIT
Lions fans have been hurt by last season… This fan post gives us a chance to vent and talk about the lions…I’ve only been part of this fan blog for about 6 months but already know some of your screen names as old friends I think of… I will be moving out of Michigan shortly, but will always be a lion fan where ever I go and continue blogging here till hell or high water…

FB ain't bad
he’s a smart dude. I don’t agree with alot of what he says, but for a Giants fan he does seem to give a damn about the Lions. He’s a closet Lions fan. We could go to the Giants blog and tell the Giants fans this so they could bust his balls. lol

FB is good
He gives us an outsider view on things. And what he says makes sense alot of the time.

I hear you
It sucks when you’re trying to find positives in your team and other people are ripping it up.
As Lions FANS, I’m pretty sure we know every terrible thing this team has to offer. No need to rub it in. (Not that FB does, I’m more referring to my old board and alot of people, Lions fans and otherwise who are 100% negative)

+1
That is what I love about this site. The people here are interested in talking about the positives and what will make the Lions better, not just dwelling on the past and ripping every move management makes.
As for FB, I think it’s nice hearing what somebody from another team has to say. We may not all agree on everything, but it’s good to hear dissent. It keeps us honest debating, and that’s the meat and potatoes of this site.

I'll be here
I haven’t left since I found it back when the last draft was on, took me a little while to post but now I feel like a legitimate member of a family, it’s awesome.

I like your take on Stafford. Well Said.
sgd, I am one of those Johnny come latelys, and though I live about an hour away from Detroit across the border, there do not seem to be a lot of Lions fans around.
Nice to be able to talk with other fans, even if we don’t agree.

I'm a POD newbie
I’ll be here though. I didn’t know about this site until it started popping up on the Lions Yahoo! team page

Good Call!!
Good website full of intelligent (sounds good) group of people willing to use the forum as a quality debate. Some of the other sites are just garbage with a bunch of people wanting to post 1st!
Let’s keep it up all season and figure out what is needed. Maybe the front office will give us a call if decisions are needed.

I am also quite new to POD
But I have really enjoyed discussing the Lions with all of you, and I plan to continue throughout the season and as long as I have internet access. My wife hates me though, and God forbid I do anything online when she is home, so God only knows how long it will last. I will be back if I ever leave.

I plan on sticking around
I’ve lived in Michigan most of my life and I’ve always rooted for the Lions. Right now, I’m going through the process of applying for the Border Patrol. I’ve cleared most of the hurdles and if I make it to the academy in New Mexico, I might disappear for about 3 months. I’ll still try to post on weekends and whatnot.

Newbie here as well.
I’ve been a member here since early March (found it through si.com). It’s safe to say this is my home for Lions news and talk now. I love the banter and the comraderie this site and its members offer, and my day isn’t complete without reading the latest news, posts, and threads.
Unfortunately, since I live in AZ, I have to go to sports bars to get the games (no way I’m paying for Sunday Ticket), so I can’t really participate in discussions during. But you can bet I’ll be here after games to give my two cents. :)
Keep it up, guys. This is the best Lions site out there, so let’s keep it that way!

You can still participate
I’ve see few games on telly so I instead use the computer. I just watch the NFL.com updates as well as the POD game threads. Sean is quite good at giving a running commentary. Sure, it’s not watching the game, but it’s fun.

Lucky I found this site
I was thrilled yesterday when I found this site from a simple yahoo search. I have done that lots of times in the past, but for some reason this one didn’t show up before. I’ve been to a few other sites before, but they were full of haters and know-it-all’s. You know, the kind that if you disagreed with their opinion, you were some sort of tv analyst repeating monkey. Those types of rude and obnoxious comments drew me away. I feel like I found a home here, and I wanted to take a sec and thank everyone for that. I work full time and go to college full time, and am a married family man,so I don’t have much spare time to research stats on the internet. I just post on things I have learned about and from common sense. Thanks to everyone for being so kind, helpful, and informative. GREAT SITE!!!!!!
