im more mad at Stafford's response..

When he said you have no running game, how do you plan to deal with that, he said, well it’s going to be tough, but calvin is a hell of a receiver… did our new QB just slight our RB?

by MatthewDC on Apr 25, 2009 4:12 PM EDT reply actions

Yeah, I was hoping he'd retort...

I really don't think he was slighting anyone...

Media

What gets me is all the media people talking about how risky the Stafford pick is and how hard it’s going to be for him without a better O-line or running game. As if the Detroit fandom hadn’t realized all that long time ago while they kept saying that Stafford was the only way they can go…

At least Gruden has been consistent in saying Stafford, Stafford, Stafford.

Tyson Jackson

Is a very good prospect mainly because he’s about the only DE prospect that has no question about his position in the NFL. Most DEs (Maybin, Ayers, Orakpo) everyone wonders will they be DE or OLB. Tyson is a big guy so there’s no way he projects to OLB

I don't think the Browns take curry

They’re switching to a 3-4, and Curry loses value there.

Why?

He plays all the positions, and in a 3-4 they need MUCH faster playmakers

by Nate D. on Apr 25, 2009 4:31 PM EDT up reply actions

His best position in a 3-4 is inside.

and the ILB in a 3-4 is the least important part of the front 7. Raji would be a more valuable pick.

a warning

in three years there will be a ton of stories about how everyone passed on crabtree and now he’s an all-pro.

Monroe is on the phone

Another suprise, IMO… they need D bad

Yup..

You’re right DL, that is a smart pick.

by damnitdamnitdamnit on Apr 25, 2009 5:06 PM EDT reply actions

they just showed a clip of him blocking a Duke football players

as a duke grad, I can tell you that that is just not fair.

GB

Could they take Orakpo? They need another OLB

by detpistons3 on Apr 25, 2009 5:09 PM EDT reply actions

I don't like it

I don’t want Raji in a Packer jersey

Raji going to green bay

by Hyperion Ecta on Apr 25, 2009 5:14 PM EDT reply actions

Green bay is getting good..

They might give the bears a run for their money soon..

Which is just worse and worse news for us..

by MatthewDC on Apr 25, 2009 5:15 PM EDT reply actions

It'll be Crabtree or Oher IMO

Although they just showed Orakpo on TV and I didn’t catch his reation.

Bills...

take Oher from us. Looks like interior linemen in the 2nd or 3rd.

by lions_sucker on Apr 25, 2009 5:15 PM EDT reply actions

would be ok with Wood or Unger or Mack

by Curse of Bobby Layne 50 Years Strong on Apr 25, 2009 5:16 PM EDT up reply actions

Yup

No way he slips past Buffalo.

Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog

by Sean Yuille on Apr 25, 2009 5:16 PM EDT up reply actions

That would be fantastic

I do NOT want someone with a learning disablity on our O-Line… we’re retarded enough

by Nate D. on Apr 25, 2009 5:16 PM EDT up reply actions

Uh oh

Crabtree on the phone

by Nate D. on Apr 25, 2009 5:18 PM EDT reply actions

Good point by Eisen

Imagine if Crabtree ends up across the bay from Oakland.

Pride of Detroit, SB Nation's Lions Blog

by Sean Yuille on Apr 25, 2009 5:18 PM EDT reply actions

That would be sweet...

I see a brandon marshall 18 catch game.

by damnitdamnitdamnit on Apr 25, 2009 5:19 PM EDT up reply actions

Ideally

The Niners take Crabtree and the Bills take Orakpo. Those are the two biggest threats to take Oher. Unless Jacksonville crushes my dreams

by detpistons3 on Apr 25, 2009 5:18 PM EDT reply actions

I love how on ESPN's beat the streak

For SF they had which position will be drafted, WR or something else. It was just 90% for something else. They show Crabtree on the phone, now 53% WR.

This is looking good for...

Oher to drop to us, only washington and Tampa would take him i think

we’ve got a good chance chance to get a high-quality player.

by Trysdor on Apr 25, 2009 5:21 PM EDT reply actions

Urgent Message...

Dear NFL.

I am over 80 and forgot that Crabtree was still available. Please rewind the clock for a do-over.

I think that ESPN money is safe with the predict the first round perfect

by Curse of Bobby Layne 50 Years Strong on Apr 25, 2009 5:23 PM EDT reply actions

It’s not like you do enough work for us already.
