About Alexander...
continuing from the last thread… he struggled quite a bit before he got hurt last year. Maybe it was scheme?
People were more high on Alexander
than Bullocks, who I think is great… S was a non-issue to me, but Gunther is a DB coach, so he thinks a S is going to be our Mike (the guy calling plays)

Good trade, its not as if we haven't already filled all our holes!
I think we are going to kick ass with a bunch of undrafted free agents. They will flock to Detroit because they will look at our draft and say to themselves; “These guys will effing take anybody. I should try out for them!”
Think of the money the Lions will save!

I like banking picks like that. With an extra 5th rounder, we can easily trade up into the 4th if we want to, and all for a 6th round pick sliding down to a 7th

I really have no response to that question.
Most of the goodwill and admiration at the offseason that Mayhew and Schwartz have so far conducted has evaporated over the last twenty-four hours.
Hopefully, I will feel differently by the time the regular season rolls around.

I honestly think
A guy like Ellerbe or Beckwith could come in and start at MLB especially with Sims and Peterson on their sides. But we’d rather take a guy who wont make it through training camp.

Freakin hilarious!
Way to complete change the topic of discussion. Arby Melts have officially become the most intriguing prospect in this years draft. I guess that’s not fair… a mysterious defensive tackle from Stillman could be the best player ever. It must have been hard to scout him though…with the only film they could find on him was from home videos of his Pop Warner days sent in by his Mom. Someone in the war room must have loved his pad level!

Or is the game plan next year to return all the kickoffs for TDs. Since the other team will score at will, that might be a good plan.

I would imagine by the time they were writing about him it was 4am and they were thinking “who the hell cares”, but in the body of the write up they actually claimed “third round talent” when he is at his best. I’m sure he is rarely at his best thought as we are in the 6th round and he just got picked up by the Lions. Has anyone ever been a holdout out of the 6th round?

In the future:
The QB coming out of Texas Tech is about half as good as Stafford however the heisman winner out of Michigan is 3/4s as good as Stafford. But he has 1/2 the upside of Stafford
I hope it comes down to Stafford vs Sanchez in the Super Bowl
and Louis Delmas has 3 picks, Sammie hill has 15 sacks, Stafford has 3 TDs to Grew and 3 to Derick Williams, and Aaron brown runs back 2 kicks, while Levy cheers very enthusiastically from the sideline..
