Lions Trade Sixth-Round Pick to Broncos
The Detroit Lions have traded their sixth-round pick (No. 172 overall) to the Denver Broncos for the 235th pick (seventh-round) and a fifth-round pick next year. The Lions still have one sixth-round pick this year thanks to the Roy Williams trade as well as three seventh-rounders.

hmmm....
a 6th round for a 5th & 7th round…. Seems logical to me.

Inconsistent Theory
While the Lions continue to stick to their “best available player” philosophy, they seem to come up short in practice. In what back-assward world does it make sense to stockpile a bunch of 7th round picks in order to obtain the “best available players”. All this trading down is really starting to get on my nerves, especially when you consider that they never did draft a true middle linebacker, and their badly needed defensive tackle came in the form of a 4th round pick from Stillman. Oh well, at least our requisite wide receiver needs were filled with a third round pick. Is Damion Cook really going to be the starting left guard this year?
