Oh man

Better tell him that you’re a NE fan or something otherwise he’s gonna have expected you to quit watching halfway through Saturday

Darius Passmore

We should draft him because he has the coolest name of any prospect

by detpistons3 on Apr 26, 2009 5:46 PM EDT reply actions

Grraham Gano K

At least with our track record, he would be a future starter

by Liontotheextreme on Apr 26, 2009 5:48 PM EDT reply actions

I find it interesting to look

at the perennial top teams in the AFC and see what they drafted. Pittsburgh, NE, Baltimore. Predominantly D and OL. Guess we know their priorities.

Thanks Joe D.

I don’t care if it’s about salary, trading Billups was dumb. Not as dumb as hiring Michael Curry, though.

RIP Pistons. It was a great era.

Codagan stll there

but we won’t draft him. We need someone to replace Jason Hanson

nice

Green Bay’s draft positionally:

Maybe we'll take Hoyer

So he can sit on the bench with Stanton all season and reminisce their good days at State.

Haha

I would seriously cry if they did that.

I just don't understand this thought process

No O-Line throughout 7 rds and then an RB, with decent ones still on the board? Really Mayhew? Really?

by detpistons3 on Apr 26, 2009 6:10 PM EDT reply actions

You know they're gonna come out

and say “we can work with the line”

by Nate D. on Apr 26, 2009 6:11 PM EDT up reply actions

It's all gonna backfire

When Schwartz finds out it’s against the rules to put in a brick wall rather than a real O-Line

Considering

We only have one starting Guard. I don’t know what we’ll do. I guesss Loper is starting?

by detpistons3 on Apr 26, 2009 6:13 PM EDT reply actions

In all honesty

I like Loper.

I think we should draft the Dos Equis guy

Cornelius lewis looks like a good guy too

by detpistons3 on Apr 26, 2009 6:14 PM EDT reply actions

only hope for oline

is that they pick up where they left off…i must say that the best they looked was the in the final games when they got consistent play together as a unit game in and game out…i still thought some upgrading would have been done…

by londonlion on Apr 26, 2009 6:15 PM EDT reply actions

Perhaps next year

When they invest 2 picks on O-Line (We should’ve had 1 this year, they have to make up for it) and get a real starting MLB

by detpistons3 on Apr 26, 2009 6:16 PM EDT up reply actions

MLBs are overrated

What scheme is it that doesn’t have one?

by ATL Lion on Apr 26, 2009 6:17 PM EDT up reply actions

I heard the lions have a scheme where they replace there MLB with a little kid with welches..

and hope the kid is so cute they just give up the ball.. it’s a pretty interesting technique

by MatthewDC on Apr 26, 2009 6:18 PM EDT up reply actions

The Lions are going to transcend football

And run a 4-2-4. Like a 4-3 but without the mike.

by detpistons3 on Apr 26, 2009 6:18 PM EDT up reply actions

How about a 1-5-5?

I think there’s actually a formation like that in Madden. Pretty interesting to play with.

Roary Rumors...

…yeah, but I hear he has a problem with keeping his jersey on when he leaves Ford Field. I think I saw an article in the Freep that said he’s not allowed back at Wendy’s?

They drafted for talent the entire draft. They traded down for 7th rounders to pick up the need guys so no one can say they didnt draft for need

One of the more colorful characters on the squad, Follett spent much of 2007 with a hair dye job featuring tiger/lion stripes (artwork courtesy of Greg Van Hoesen), earning himself the nickname “Ziger” for the “Z” dyed into the back of his head amongst the stripes. Even though the hair went back to normal for the final five games, the “Ziger” mentality remained. He is also an accomplished artist, as he has a wood-cutting hobby in which he has shaped plywood into life size replicas of teammates.

Ask any Pac-10 Conference quarterback to name the hardest hitting tackler in the league and they will sound like a choir in singing praises for Follett. A versatile defender, he began his Cal career as a middle linebacker, shifting to weak-side outside linebacker as a sophomore before finding a home on the strong side his junior campaign.

Question on ESPN draftcast
Dan (Bay City, MI): I was at the Lion’s Draft Party and there was quite a ‘Boo’ when the Lions chose Delmas over Maualuga. I was not among them but I really liked Rey too. Did the Lion’s make the correct choice, in your opinion?
Bill Barnwell: That’s an absolute slam-dunk move on the Lions’ part, to be honest.

Another question on ESPN draftcast
melissa (Michigan): Bill, what do you think about the lions draft thus far and what grade would you give them
