The Pride In Detroit

Check out this clip from the new Eminem video (edited for the kiddies, of course). The part with Tiger Stadium almost had me ballin'. I grew up inside that statium, and have so many great memories there.

I know I fall for this every year, but something feels different this time around. The city of Detroit, NEEDS the Lions to succeed. And for some strange reason I am inexplicably optimistic again.

I think a mildly successful Lions team would help extinguish a little of the pain us Lions fans have felt over the years. A consistently successful Lions team would probably make us forget all together.

2009 = The start of the Lions Golden Age (We hope).

How many of us miss old T I double Ga rrrrrrrr stadium? Esecially in the late 70’s and 80’s for me. I can still smell that Ballpark smell that you would get when you got about a block away, And then as you started to come out of the tunnels and magically the field would open up right infront of your eyes, always the perfect shade of green with those diamond shapes cut into the grass. sigh Sitting out with the bleacher creatures hootin and holleran. I miss the corner of Michgan and Trumble. OOPS almost forgot the trip to White Castles for a bag of sliders. . . . . hahah ahahahaahah. Almost just gave myself the runs just thinking about them.
