Best Line Backer Trio in the NFL since Tampa in 98!!!
My buddy and I just got into a huge debate about the potential this group of guys has. I firmly believe and stand by the fact that the Lions have an awesome group of guys at Linebacker. He said that the Patritos had and still have a better on than the Lions. So I was hoping to get a bunch of post from some pissed off Lions fans and e-mail my buddy all of the post.
I must admit that I was really hoping we were going to draft Aaron Curry 1st. I am glad that we didn't now and it just goes to show the kind of moves the FO is making. I don't think we are going to breakout season even though I wish we could go 18-0. See how many Lions jerseys come out then and how many games we get televised.
Anyways, our group of guys if we can stay injury free and off of the Madden cover will be awesome. Our defense will be in the top 15 this year.

Defense will good....
….and yes the LBs are good but the key to any def in the dline…..Actually the key to any good teams are the lines on offense and defesne….yes I like the LBs but the key will be that line keeping those o lineman off of the LBs.

Don't know about best since 98'
Or even best in the NFL. I would take the Bears and Steelers LBs over yours to name a few, but your core is very good. There is no way the Pats LBs are better then yours. They lost Vrabel and Bruschi’s play has started to decline.
and 1 Pack
I’m not sold on the Bears having better, but def the steelers, How about the G-men, ah SD, Merriman’s back and they drafted English outta college, beware all fantasy owners when your guys play in SD and Seat. We have very good LB’rs no doubt but at best top 10 in the league, could be better but we need at least 1 more dominant linemen to make our LB’rs better. And this one is for you Packallday. I think your Packers may have the best set of Lb’rs in the division, but only cause your D-line looks so damn good at eating up blockers and I didn’t see Raji out there yet.
Not the best
But definitely top 5 and better than New England’s……
I love the pic…..I remember Keyshawn getting KOed in that game by Corwin Brown! That was awesome. I also have a fond memory of Brian Kelly drilling Chad 85 and him landing hard, dislocating his shoulder….

And this being the aftermath…..
Not Proven Yet...
I would be willing to bet that they put up great numbers this year. Don’t forget we have the Steelers best LB (Foote) and we also have three time pro bowler (last three years) Julian Peterson. With those two and a young and awesome LB Sims they are going to be unstoppable. If that D-Line can keep it together our D will be on lock.
As far as the Bears go. Its the bears and I hate them just like I hate the Packers. Brian Urlacher has lost a couple of steps and though still good is past his prime. He does have a good supporting cast in Lance Briggs and Pisa Tinoisamoa. The Lions will back up what I am saying.
Plus you are a Packers Fan therefore I will not take anything you say to heart. I have respect for your team but I deeply hate them. I bleed honolulu blue.

I agree
Lamar Woodley, James Harrison, Lawrence Timmons, and James Farrior are some pretty darn good linebackers. In fact, I would have to say that the Steelers have the very best linebacking core in the NFL to date.
AGREED
Kevin Smith let em kno, Ernie Sims Break em, Calvin Johnson you already Kno

Each LB is great in their own right
Am I willing to say the best sense 98, not yet. As great as they are, they need to work as a unit. I believe they will be a huge improvement for us but how great is a question. Looking forward to see them work in the first pre-season game.
They are definetly our best unit on the Defence
Depending on how well we play during the season, I think at least one of our LB’s have a chance at the Pro-bowl.
2009 = The start of the Lions Golden Age (We hope).
They have all the potential to be great on paper
Can they deliver? They need to make big plays and cause lots of turnovers! We’ll see…
Good coaching will go a long way in giving them a plan to succeed. We saw last year with Sims decline in play what bad coaching can do…
I believe in the three of them, and the coach. May they stay healthy…
That pic is from a Sunday night game, correct?
I think that’s the last time the Lions have been on a national TV game (outside of Thanksgiving) during the regular season.

The same way for a pic I thought...
You have to find the URL for the video and then go to insert video and plug the URL in. Hope it works
Live and Die by the LIONS
embedding video
you can do it, but you have to edit the size of the file and all that fits is a real grainy assemblance of a bunch of still shots.
Worth a try
I am still wondering, if I can’t upload a video in comments, I must be able to upload it in a fanpost?
Nevermind.....
I see the insert editor on the fanpost, so now I know I can upload it as a fanpost….:o)
He got stuck..
Good on Corwin Brown.. Does anyone remember his nose bleeding after the hit?
